First- do not fall for the "free breakfast". They do not offer it and tell you to email corporate for a "refund for breakfast". Corporate said to call them. This hotel is so rundown and doesn't look like any repair has been done sine the 1980's. It smelled musty, the lighting in the room is terrible, and the TV is not hooked up to wifi so you can't stream anything. Motel 6 would be a better choice. This may keep me from holiday inn's in the future.

My goodness this hotel is disgusting. I swear they have never updated this hotel since the no smoking policy went into effect. The carpets have not been changed in probably 20+years and their is no more fiber to the backing in my room, the furniture was stained and gross looking, the smell of cigarettes still sink into your nose. I was kinda dissatisfied when I learned that there was no breakfast, and that I swear I feel like I need to wear a nuclear suit walking around this hotel.

Room smells intensely of mold or mildew. I kindly asked the guy at the front desk if we could move to a different room and he instantly said no and that the funk is because we are over the pool. I told him I understand the location, which is why we just wanted to move rooms. They may have been limited on space (standard rooms showed as available on app), but some sort of customer service is expected further than a “deal with it” attitude. If they have a mold problem, especially one they are aware of, they should not be renting those rooms. We stay at holiday inn because they are typically clean and consistent, this experience was less than appreciated. IHG brands have been slipping fast.
Update - we decided to leave instead of staying. Simply handed the key to the attendant and he instantly says you won’t be getting a refund:). I didn’t even ask, just said we decided to stay somewhere else. If available, Springhill Suites, very close by, is amazing!
