- DDDawn2 days ago2.0I had an issue that was handled poorly. Housekeeping left my door open (not latched/locked) after servicing my room. Luckily nothing was stolen but the room was unlocked for several hours before I returned. I immediately called the front desk and they checked to make sure that no other keys had been issued and said they would notify the onsite manager to address the issue the next day. The manager and maintenance checked the door to make sure it was functioning correctly (it was), and left me a voicemail letting me know that they’d looked into it. I checked out the following day and spoke with the manager on my way out, he reiterated that they’d looked into the issue and the door was functioning correctly. He never apologized and didn’t offer any recompense. For a business in the hospitality industry, it’s surprising that they didn’t apologize (at the very least) or offer anything to make up for their mistake (a goodie bag or coupon to use at their snack bar or dinner service).
