The stories about smelly rooms, noise complaints, unauthorized charges are all true. We stayed just 3 weeks ago and experienced this. The manager was rude about it and unwilling to assist in resolving the issues. Their website also mentioned their one of a kind year round outdoor heated pool. The new manager shut it down but hasn’t updated the website. Because of our recent stay and how we were treated by the manager, we will never stay here again.

I’m not picky, I just want to sleep and shower and move on. But when one of those options is listed on Atlas Obscura as DENVER’S DINOSAUR HOTEL, you stop searching and book! And it’s wonderful! There are dozens of fossils in the lobby, there are fantastic paintings in the stairway, even the room numbers look like they’re carved from red rock. And then, there’s a dinosaur print pillow on the bed! The owners of this charming Best Western funneled their passion into making this hotel different from all of the others and it shows. I respect and love that and that’s why I’m writing this review. I wish more business owners would make this sort of investment!

The breakfast, updated rooms and new key access is very much welcome. Uniqueness seems to be a downgrade. Great area and community, hopefully they will cultivate new ideas, explore new endeavors, serve well and ignite a creative spirit in renewable resources
