Juls at the front desk is a "gem." She provided great customer service, acknowledged my membership level and thanked me for choosing the Hampden Inn.
The hotel is in a great location! Downtown is beautiful. Parking is secure but you do have to pay to park- but in and out as many times as you'd like.
Room is clean and comfortable.
I will stay here again when I'm in Grand Junction.

“Pet friendly” with an $80 pet fee that isn’t advertised anywhere that I could see beforehand, for one night (checking in at 10pm and leaving at 7:30am). That’s more than half the cost of the room. I get having a pet fee, but that’s actually absurd.

We stayed over Thanksgiving and had to bring our dog last minute when our sitter situation fell through. I was so pleasantly surprised that this Hampton Inn is genuinely dog-friendly. Most places are dog-tolerant at best, but we all felt welcome and well-cared for. The location is super convenient, the staff were really friendly, and we had a very comfortable stay.

The internet is very slow. Don’t try to work from here. Otherwise it’s fine.

The best part of this Hampton Inn is the location, you pretty much don’t have to jump in the car to get around if your plan is just to hang out around the downtown area. Main Street has a bunch of boutiques and eateries, easy and safe to walk around.
Customer service was decent, not bad nor great. Being a Silver Member with Hilton the front desk customer service has taken that extra step to make sure my stay is just that much better at other Hilton affiliated hotels (ie. offering complimentary snacks and bottled water). Also I’m not 100% sure where the train tracks were but every evening I would hear a couple of trains go by, not much of a distraction but certain people may find it more annoying.
