Jenn at check in was wonderful and made check in super easy & a breeze! Rooms were clean and comfortable. They were able to provide us with conjoining rooms which worked perfectly for our group. The breakfast was a great spread and we loved the chocolate waffles. Additionally, the hotel was so close to Iron Mountain Hot Springs! Would defiantly stay here again.

Stayed here many times over the years, but this most recent time was likely my last. It used to be a nice, clean, great value place to stay. Now it's a dive hotel. 1. The front desk staff members are just flat out rude. This is likely a reflection of the overall poor management. 2. They are not putting any money back into the place and the rooms are getting terribly worn out. The mattresses are horrible. The heaters are loud and don't work right. The bathroom sink and tub drains are all clogged up. 3. My view was the nice grassy area out front. Unfortunately the dog station is overflowing with bags of dog crap everywhere. It was like this for an entire 4 days I was there. It's disgusting. 4. They don't clean your rooms or change our towels for fresh ones. They also barely give you any towels to use in the first place. Just sad that they're beyond cheap and letting the place fall apart.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. The breakfasts were good. The rooms were decent, however, during that time, the room was not cleaned and the towels were not changed. Also, for three people staying in the room, there were only 4 large towels. When we contacted the reception, we were told that their policy is to clean the rooms on the 4th day and that the number of towels provided was sufficient, which is outrageous.

Wow. Never can I believe a customer service person would yell at me about what she is supposed to do about a dog whining all night. We have had a dog whining now above is for an hour now from the unit above us. Its high pitched and continuous. We travel with a sound machine on highest level and can still hear the dog. Then our dog starts barking back. When I call the front desk person she just says coldly, "I'll let them know" but commits to no further action. When I call her back she says to me rudely, "what am I supposed to do? I already called them multiple times and they don't pick up" And I'm like, "do you have any support from management? Like what are we supposed to do if we can't sleep all night? Its new years eve and they could be out partying all night." And then she says angrily, "I'll go in there and get their dog if they don't pick up". Still no sense of timeline but also seems very odd that's their protocol. Other hotels at least state they would have animal control come. I don't know what they do in actuality. I called back and also pressed the number to speak to management but just got a voicemail. Don't have pets if your pet policy has no actual teeth to it. They should have a protocol for when an owner leaves their dog unattended against the pet policy and then is unresponsive to phone calls in the middle of the night. This same woman struck me as lacking empathy when we checked in. We asked about the pool and she coldly stated it was closed for service and said she could provide no further info. That's fine, sometimes you don't know but it was how she said it which seemed intentionally detached and communicated "deal with it". I never have complained about the manner someone speaks to me in customer service because I did it for a long time and I know how hard it can be. But yelling at a customer and making a disruptive dog their problem just goes way too far. The right thing in that situation is to communicate what you are going to do about it and make sure that they aren't going to have a horrible night of sleep. Pool broken or unavailable.

Maybe it's an incorrect assumption on my part that people stay at this location are likely to visit one of the hot springs in town. It would be beneficial for the hotel to set up a towel card system to facilitate using towels for the hot springs if they are concerned about the towels lost due to irresponsible guests, which is a very common practice to enhance guest experience. This is better than shouting at them at a distance telling them to stop borrowing towels from the pool. Aside from this, the breakfast is the worst I have ever had in any Best Western location with only yellow egg whites and gravy as hot non-carb items. Coffee is also diluted and tasteless from the dispensing machine. Rooms are clean but dated and have seen better days. This location is below BW brand standards.
