I would absolutely not stay at this hotel again. I stayed for three nights, and the experience was incredibly stressful — especially traveling alone with two babies. On the very first night, I had to change rooms twice. The first room had dog hair all over it. I was then moved to another room, only to be told — while I was eating dinner in the lobby restaurant — that the door to that room wasn’t locking properly. They had apparently just discovered this after I had already moved all of my belongings. Being alone with two babies, that was extremely unsettling. I was moved a third time to a room where the lock worked, but it smelled strongly of dog urine. The odor was overwhelming. After already changing rooms twice, I felt stuck and stayed in the room for the remaining two nights. Housekeeping even told me they “just put odor neutralizers in the vents,” which explains why the smell was so obvious. This hotel clearly allows dogs, but it does not seem equipped to properly clean the rooms afterward. It was disgusting. I had also informed them that my youngest baby has allergies, which made the situation even more concerning. To make matters worse, they charged my account an additional almost $400 on top of what I had already paid through Expedia. When I questioned it, I was told that sometimes their system doesn’t communicate properly with Expedia and it “just charges again.” That is completely unacceptable. If I hadn’t caught it, I would have been out another $400 for no reason. There was no apology and no sense of urgency about correcting their mistake. Regarding compensation, I was initially told I would receive 50,000 points for the inconvenience. That never happened. When I called later, I was told they had only offered 25,000 points and that the employee who mentioned 50,000 was “new.” Ultimately, I only received 25,000 points — and that was solely for the door not locking, not for the filthy, dog-urine–smelling room I had to stay in for two additional nights. I paid a significant amount of money for this stay and received very little accountability, professionalism, or proper compensation in return. This experience was unacceptable from start to finish and extremely disappointing.

I had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn last night. The front desk associate, Jeff, was extremely welcoming, professional, and made the check-in process smooth and pleasant. I also want to appreciate Forrest from the maintenance team — he was very helpful, quick to respond, and ensured everything was perfect during my stay. Great customer service like this truly makes a difference. Thank you to Jeff and Forrest for providing such excellent hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again!

Best value stay in Estes Park for families. Clean, comfortable, and exceptional service. Vanessa, the manager, sets the standard — professional, welcoming, and clearly an outstanding leader. Jae was the star of our stay. Her warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel instantly at home. Michael, who helped us overnight, was equally accommodating and a pleasure to work with. This isn’t a five-star luxury resort — it’s better in the ways that matter: spotless rooms, continual improvements, friendly staff, and true value for families visiting Estes Park. You can feel the care in how the property is run. If you’re looking for a clean, affordable, family-friendly hotel in Estes Park with top-tier customer service, this is a hidden gem. Bonus tip: check under the counter near the fresh brew coffee station — the cold coffee creamer is the secret win. We’ll absolutely be back.

I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience during my stay. My car was hit overnight in the hotel parking lot, and the driver fled the scene. A clear piece of the other vehicle (the red cover of a tail light) was left on the ground next to my car, clearly indicating a hit and run. When I reported the incident, the front desk contacted the manager. Unfortunately, the manager’s response was unprofessional, dismissive, and completely lacking empathy. She immediately stated that reviewing the cameras would not be helpful because she “didn’t know what time it happened” and claimed she could not review footage from the entire night. I offered to review the footage myself and explained that the police would likely need to review it anyway. She refused and repeatedly insisted that even if a car was seen near mine, it could not be assumed to be responsible, suggesting the tail light cover might have fallen off earlier and that the driver could have been “just passing by.” Throughout the conversation, she continued to defend the unknown driver rather than support a guest whose vehicle had been damaged on hotel property. Given her response, I told her clearly that her handling of the situation was unacceptable and asked that she speak with my husband instead, as I was no longer willing to continue the conversation. I then stepped away and sat in the lobby area. While seated nearby, I could still hear the manager speaking loudly about the situation to the front desk staff, making dismissive and mocking comments, as if to justify herself and minimize my concern. This behavior felt highly inappropriate and unprofessional, especially considering the stress of the situation. This reasoning was especially unreasonable given the location. This is a quiet mountain area with virtually no activity overnight. The parking lot was nearly empty, and it is highly unlikely that multiple vehicles were coming and going throughout the night. Any vehicle moving near mine would have stood out clearly. What makes this situation even more troubling is that later that same morning, the police located the responsible driver, who was arrested for DUI and hit and run. The tail light cover found next to my car matched his vehicle exactly. In other words, the incident the manager refused to take seriously or investigate was completely legitimate. I expect far more from someone in a management position. When a guest experiences property damage on hotel grounds, the response should involve support, professionalism, and a willingness to assist, not dismissal, excuses, or public commentary about the guest. Because of the manager’s behavior and lack of accountability, this stay was unacceptable. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel while this type of management behavior continues.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. Location is great and 3-4 minutes from Estes downtown. The place is huge and AMAZING for kids! Huge pool with a big TV screen where kids can watch TV while swimming. The game room was great too, with pool, foosball, ping pong, pinball machines, and multiple arcade games with TONS of old school games: pac man, dig dug, spy hunter, etc etc etc Outdoor fire pits were neat too and a nice touch. Gym was a disappointment with old equipment and very few free weights. Food was very good and Jonas the bartender and Jennifer the do-all server were both amazing! Drinks and food were both very reasonably priced, too. Latitude 105 bar was cool too and had a shuffle board table nearby. This is a good spot and reasonably priced. There were a few hiccups during our stay but they were addressed and we enjoyed ourselves. Tons to do and located centrally. I would recommend it and we’ll come back for sure.
