Our room was not very clean when we checked in. We had to figure out how to hook up the remote for the TV and the bed was uncomfortable.

I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience during my stay. My car was hit overnight in the hotel parking lot, and the driver fled the scene. A clear piece of the other vehicle (the red cover of a tail light) was left on the ground next to my car, clearly indicating a hit and run.
When I reported the incident, the front desk contacted the manager. Unfortunately, the manager’s response was unprofessional, dismissive, and completely lacking empathy. She immediately stated that reviewing the cameras would not be helpful because she “didn’t know what time it happened” and claimed she could not review footage from the entire night.
I offered to review the footage myself and explained that the police would likely need to review it anyway. She refused and repeatedly insisted that even if a car was seen near mine, it could not be assumed to be responsible, suggesting the tail light cover might have fallen off earlier and that the driver could have been “just passing by.” Throughout the conversation, she continued to defend the unknown driver rather than support a guest whose vehicle had been damaged on hotel property.
Given her response, I told her clearly that her handling of the situation was unacceptable and asked that she speak with my husband instead, as I was no longer willing to continue the conversation. I then stepped away and sat in the lobby area.
While seated nearby, I could still hear the manager speaking loudly about the situation to the front desk staff, making dismissive and mocking comments, as if to justify herself and minimize my concern. This behavior felt highly inappropriate and unprofessional, especially considering the stress of the situation.
This reasoning was especially unreasonable given the location. This is a quiet mountain area with virtually no activity overnight. The parking lot was nearly empty, and it is highly unlikely that multiple vehicles were coming and going throughout the night. Any vehicle moving near mine would have stood out clearly.
What makes this situation even more troubling is that later that same morning, the police located the responsible driver, who was arrested for DUI and hit and run. The tail light cover found next to my car matched his vehicle exactly. In other words, the incident the manager refused to take seriously or investigate was completely legitimate.
I expect far more from someone in a management position. When a guest experiences property damage on hotel grounds, the response should involve support, professionalism, and a willingness to assist, not dismissal, excuses, or public commentary about the guest. Because of the manager’s behavior and lack of accountability, this stay was unacceptable.
I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel while this type of management behavior continues.

Check-in took longer than expected but the staff were very courteous and the rooms were clean. Location and price were much better than other hotels in the area. Will definitely try to stay here again on our next trip.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. Location is great and 3-4 minutes from Estes downtown. The place is huge and AMAZING for kids!
Huge pool with a big TV screen where kids can watch TV while swimming. The game room was great too, with pool, foosball, ping pong, pinball machines, and multiple arcade games with TONS of old school games: pac man, dig dug, spy hunter, etc etc etc
Outdoor fire pits were neat too and a nice touch.
Gym was a disappointment with old equipment and very few free weights.
Food was very good and Jonas the bartender and Jennifer the do-all server were both amazing! Drinks and food were both very reasonably priced, too. Latitude 105 bar was cool too and had a shuffle board table nearby.
This is a good spot and reasonably priced. There were a few hiccups during our stay but they were addressed and we enjoyed ourselves. Tons to do and located centrally. I would recommend it and we’ll come back for sure.

We had an AMAZING stay at this Holiday Inn in Estes Park. When we asked our 6yo ehat he thought of the hotel, he immediately said it was “the best hotel.” Why? his answer: the pool (indoor, heated, hot tub also), the game room(free pinball and air hockey 24/7) and roasting marshmallows (free smores kits).
From a family-friendly perspective, this is the best hotel we have stayed at, and we can say that having traveled across four different continents. The amenities are designed to make children (and parents) feel genuinely welcomed, with adult space for enjoyment. We would absolutely choose this hotel again in Estes Park, AND are likely to come here because this hotel is so incredible.
Also, every person who worked at this hotel would greet us when making eye contact, Daniel made check-in so enjoyable, and I wish I knew the pool and housekeeping staff as they worked so hard persistently over the four days we were here.
