- CHCinda HFeb 23, 20261.0When I checked in, they asked for a credit card which is normal but I asked how much they would be putting on hold and what it was for. They told me that they would be charging $25 and it would be refunded if I had no incidentals or anything charged to my room which, I did not. It has been a few weeks since I stayed there but there was still a $20 charge on my card. I called them and they said the charge was for using the parking garage. They never told me I was going to be charged for that and, the parking garage was under construction and it was a mess. I only parked down there one night because it was under construction and there was dust coating everything. The workers, were wearing hazmat suits with ventilators so it didn't seem like the best idea to breathe that stuff. When I called the hotel, the lady who answered the phone was not very nice about it so I left a message for the manager who never bothered to return my call.

Right smack downtown, staying here in Durango so my friends and I can easily walk to downtown makes you forget there is no hot tub.... nonetheless, the bfast is filling, the rooms and common area are always clean and smell good, and if you can get parking underground, I'm positive you'll love your stay just as we have for now two years straight.

The breakfast was good and the person running it did a great job of keeping everything stocked and the eating area clean. The only downside was the parking. There is limited parking in the front of the hotel. There is additional park that you can use on either side of the hotel but it's not ideal for me. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly, always had a smile and made you feel welcomed. The river running behind the hotel gave for great views and the mountains were easily seen as well. The train could be visible in some areas. Would definitely stay here again.
