Stayed at Holiday Inn Downtown Denver for a 3-day business trip, and the location was extremely convenient for getting around the city.
Valet parking is available, but at $51 per night, it felt a bit steep. We opted for a nearby public parking garage just up the street, which was still paid parking—but significantly more affordable and an easy alternative.
Breakfast is simple and self-serve. Nothing standout, but it gets the job done—perfect for grabbing a quick coffee and bagel before heading out for the day.
Overall, this is a solid, practical choice for a business stay. Clean, convenient, and easy to navigate. I’d definitely stay here again when traveling to Denver for work.

First, I am a IHG loyalist. Forever my favorite hotel brand. However, this property.🤦🏿♂️ Lucky for me, I only needed it for one night. The good: when I checked in the desk clerk (older gentleman with an oxygen tank was super nice and helpful) informed me if the room was too hot to let him know. My room was the opposite...I froze..literally slept under the blankets with my jacket on cold. The building thermostat is centrally controlled (really, in 2026). The room wasn't bad. A few cosmetic issues. But when I woke up, reality hit. Not only was the room freezing ,but no hot water in the shower, toilet barely flushed, tub clogged. I just washed off over the sink, grabbed breakfast, and had to leave. I informed the desk clerk but what will happen, I don't know. The walls are super thin. I heard my neighbors (both sides) complaining that they didn't have hot water. So maybe it's the entire 9th floor. Other customers were complaining about the sketchy elevator. Sometimes it won't let you pick a floor. All in all, I say; stay at your own risk...the reviews are real...but you cant beat the location to 16th street and Union Station.

Overall, this was a disappointing experience. The room had a noticeable smell of smoke, which made the stay uncomfortable from the outset. Housekeeping also failed to respect the “Do Not Disturb” sign and entered the room regardless, which is not acceptable.
Communication was another issue: the reservations team did not respond to emails, and although the receptionist promised bonus points following my complaint, these were never credited.
Finally, I was surprised to see disposable plates, bowls, and plastic cutlery used at breakfast. This feels out of step with basic sustainability standards and is not what I would expect.
Overall, not a satisfying stay.

This hotel is in complete disrepair and struggling to maintain any sort of a reasonable stay experience. As most other recent reviews have mentioned, you have no control over room temperature, the water is either very hot or freezing cold depending on the room you get. I stayed for 10 days for work and it was a miserable experience. I luckily got a room hot water side of the hotel, but the other side of the hotel is only cold water. Two of my coworkers had to suffer through cold showers during their stay, not sure what's going on with the plumbing here. If you are a larger bodied person, the toilet is almost unusable in certain rooms. The hotel staff will just blatantly lie when confronted about water temperature or room temperature. I feel bad for the staff members that have to put up with all the complaints they receive, but straight up lying to customers faces is terrible business practice. Avoid this hotel at all costs, this stay cost me nothing and I am still choosing to leave this review in hopes it prevents anyone having to suffer through a stay at this hotel. It needs to be shut down and fully remodeled and updated before I would even consider staying here again.

Hey this is room 774. You told us to call the front desk if we needed our room temperature to be changed. It's 27 degrees outside. Our room is 63 degrees. We called twice tonight March 14th and left messages as there was no one answering the phone. Please change our room temp to a minimum of 70 degrees. Btw it's currently 10:36pm!
Editing to add to review: Valet was great but be prepared to pay for it. Rooms are small. We booked two rooms but one was on the 7th floor and the other was on the 11th floor. Lucky our children are old enough and we trust them enough to be safe and make good choices. But it was really inconvenient. One review said the toilet looked like a prison toilet, believe them! Don't expect to get a hot shower. Even with maintenance coming by, he told us to continue flushing the toilet to get hot water. Umm how about your hotel turn on the water heater temp. Also, this hotel doesn't let you control your room temp. They tell you to call down there to ask them to change it. But they don't respond or answer their phones.
Oh and the bathroom next to the breakfast area, avoid at all cost. Smells like fish, like someone has been pissing all over the floor and walls. Disgusting.
There are other places to book hotels. Book elsewhere, not here.
