I have been a Diamond elite member since 2018, this is the worst Holiday Inn I’ve stayed at this year, and I average 80 stays a year through the IHG chains. How things got off to a bad start. I asked for an upgrade and got the exact same room I booked, that’s not an upgrade, if you don’t have an upgrade I understand it happens, but to tell me yes and not provide that is a training issue. Additionally, the front desk person was not very familiar with the amenities diamond members are offered, told me I had to pay for breakfast and didn’t ask if I wanted points or item from the convenience store. All that stuff I can live with because turnover can be a challenge at hotels. What I can’t put up with is dirty rooms, old beds, mold, and peeling paint off the bath tubs. Let’s get into specifics (pictures provided) our room was disgusting the carpets had numerous stains and if you walked bare foot you could feel the grime build up on your feet. The balcony is atrocious, plaster falling off, mold building up. If it wasn’t for driving 8hrs and booking with points I would have checked out immediately and demanded for my money back. Ooo and the best part, their outdoor pool that is open year round and heated is broken and nothing is posted about this on the IHG app or the hotels website. Did I forget to mention I specifically book this hotel for our family of 4 because of the pool. The front desk person did not know it was down until I asked him about it and he had to ask around to confirm what I said. Additionally, did I mention the peeling paint in the bath tub, talk about putting lip stick on a pig. Next month I return to Denver for work I’m avoiding this hotel like the plague, I now know to not spend my employers money here for hotel stays.

Room had a weird burnt smell to it, and the shower had minimal pressure and was not hot. The restaurant had good food but not great hours.

My wife booked us a surprise trip for our anniversary and I was absolutely blown away by how amazing this Holiday Inn was! Everyone was incredibly kind, I was very impressed with every desk agent we had a privilege of dealing with as they were knowledgeable, helpful and kind. We did not try the restaurant in the hotel as we were busy doing 'tourist' things, the pool area was fantastic and the shuttle to the Central Park Station was a very welcome courtesy!! The view from our room was incredible as it was my wife's first time seeing real mountains, she loved sitting on the balcony for a few minutes at sunrise and sunset just watching the sunlight roll across the Rockies!

First, this is not a reflection of the staff, they were great. I would never stay at this hotel again. The rooms are overdue for a refresh, they appear rundown and dirty. The water is only one temperature at the sink and in the shower. I lucked out and had hot, but others I was traveling with only had like warm. There’s some sort of plumbing issue, that when a neighboring room flushes the pipes rattle loudly for a solid 30 seconds. There was no WiFi for two days, but even when there is WiFi it’s horrible. Lastly, the entire middle of the hotel is open so you can hear any conversation anybody is having outside their rooms at all hours. Don’t recommend this hotel, there are others close by that provide a much better experience.
