Upon checking in, the room reeked of old mildew mixed with cigarette smoke. The area around the motel was riddled with homeless activity, and I instantly knew this wasn’t a safe or comfortable place, especially with my daughter. I dropped my bags to collect myself after a long trip. I decided I couldn’t stay here for three nights. When I went to the front desk to cancel, the woman insisted I had to pay for 1 night even if I had been in the room less than 5 minutes that I’d be required to pay. I calmly explained that the conditions didn’t meet expectations. She became rude and unprofessional. Seriously you would’ve thought she lived there and the money was coming out of her pocket. Each time I tried to leave, she shouted offensive comments behind my back. The final straw came when she yelled that my “designer bags” must have been bought with a FRAUDULENT CREDIT CARD CLAIM! Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I started recording at that point, and she ran into an office, refusing to repeat what she’d said. Moments later she came out to greet another guest with a fake evil smile pictured below. Not expecting the 4 Seasons but a little bit of decency would have been nice. This place is dirty, unprofessional, and downright unsafe. Don’t waste your money or your peace of mind here.

Reception/service was great. Adorable courtyard. It was a little too chilly to use, but lovely to look at. Comfy beds

Probably the best Best Western we've stayed in. Quiet, clean, plenty of options for breakfast.

Deceitful business practices - Stayed here a few days ago for just one night. 3 adults and 2 small dogs. Pet fee is $25/night per dog so it should have been $50. They charged us $150. I tried calling for 3 days straight. A manager was never in. I even texted and e-mailed. They called back on the 4th day and said I did not tell them I had pets and they had to spend "extra time" cleaning the room. This is a pet-friendly hotel. I assumed it was fine. I was on a road trip and this was one of the stays. None of the other hotels (Homewood Suites, Best Western Plus, La Quinta) practiced this type of deception. Only some hotels asked if I had pets and of course I said yes (assuming the rates were the same at the hotels that did not ask). The worker at the front desk never ASKED. I asked if the pets caused damage to the room. They said no, but staff SAW that we had two small dogs. Perhaps you should INFORM me first before over charging me. Also they charged another random fee of $107.90 - when asked about this they claimed they would look into it. So ridiculous and a waste of my time. Now I have to dispute it with my bank. Horrible customer service and poor business practices. Never staying here again.
