Before I booked i was a little hesitant to booked outside of town and have to deal with a shuttle instead of just booking in town. I'm glad I made the choice I did. The shuttle was always easy and fast and all our shuttle drivers were very nice. The view from the hotel was definitely worth using the shuttle to get to town. The staff was also very nice and accommodating. They went above and beyond for us. If I visit breckenridge again I won't look elsewhere, I will be booking at the lodge.

The hotel sits at 10,200 feet, which is noticeably higher than the town of Breckenridge itself. Sleeping at this altitude can be a bit challenging if you’re not acclimatized, and even climbing stairs inside the hotel can leave you catching your breath. Our room was spacious, modern, and very clean. One of the highlights of the property is the view—sweeping mountain scenery in every direction. The outdoor hot tubs also take full advantage of that view, making them a great place to unwind after skiing or hiking. The hotel has a restaurant and bar on site; although we didn’t have dinner here on this visit, we did on our first stay and really enjoyed the food. Breakfast is served cafeteria‑style in the same restaurant area. A practical note: the hotel sits well above town, so it’s not walkable to Breckenridge’s main drag. You’ll need to drive or take the shuttle (which the hotel provides). The trade‑off is peace, views, and a more secluded feel. This was our second stay here, and overall it remains a solid choice—comfortable rooms, great views, and a classic mountain‑lodge atmosphere. That’s why we came back.

The views from the rooms and common areas are breathtaking. The room was very nice, and we had a great stay. The prices are reasonable for the area as well. Breakfast at the hotel was pretty good.

Our hotel shuttle that runs through the town of Breckenridge runs 8am-10pm daily. This is a great way to get around town. There is also a local shuttle service, Summit Stage, that stops at the end of the drive and takes guests into Breckenridge and the surrounding Summit County area. Additionally the Summit Express offers transfers from Denver Airport to The Lodge.

We are not just dog-friendly, we are dog people. There are numerous rooms that are dog-friendly.
