The hotel was fine, as DoubleTree hotels go. This particular hotel is a little long in the tooth, but overall they seem to be maintaining it. It's not the hotel, however, I should be rating here. It's the corporate deception by Hilton and so many other hotel, car rental and sundry travel related businesses, particularly where their loyalty programs are concerned. I travel extensively and have for many years. Accordingly, I naively felt like I was pretty savvy on how these companies operate. What I have learned is, they change and adapt policy so often, it is very difficult to keep up with the "fine print." My company uses third-party booking agencies for most of our travel rrangements. We have loyalty accounts with all of the major travel entities, but what we have come to understand is that if you don't book your reservations directly with the individual brand, you are not entitled to nor awarded miles, stays or whatever their point system is. You still pay for the service, but you don't get any of the benefits. We reached out to several of these organizations for clarification on their policy and we're told that they are not obligated to award any points when a booking is made through a third party entity. Not exactly good customer service, nor does it engender any sense of loyalty to their brand. If reward points are important to you, this is something you will need to pay attention to and make sure that you are booking directly through the company you are patronizing. Don't assume that they will be looking out for your best interest because they won't be. The moral to this story is don't be naive like I was. Happy trails.

We stayed here for a few days during a very hard time in our life. Duane and Aurora were working at the restaurant in the lobby and they were so accommodating and so kind we couldn’t be more grateful for the support. We will definitely be coming back here the food is amazing and the drinks are even better. And the vibes are amazing

Stayed for two nights, overall bed was comfy, the room was clean, and there was plenty of parking. **Note a few things! We are in Aurora and in this part there are many homeless within walking distance of the hotel, when we first pulled up there were two homeless people walking through the parking lot. HOWEVER the hotel does a great job at security as the doors to the hotel lock at 10pm-6am requiring a key card to get in. I felt very safe once in the hotel and very comfortable. Bit of noise in the halls the last day as it seemed there was a field trip going on for highschool people. Staff notified them and solved the problem. Would stay again! 4/5 stars!

Extremely disappointing stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Aurora, CO We’ve stayed in Aurora several times each year, but this will be our last visit to the DoubleTree by Hilton. Our recent stay was nothing short of appalling. Within hours of being in our room, we noticed itchy, raised bites—later confirmed to be flea bites. The hotel is pet-friendly, which we support, but that means rooms should be cleaned and treated to a higher standard. Clearly, they are not. The staff’s response was underwhelming and dismissive. A mild apology and an offer of 10,000 Hilton Rewards points for an experience involving insect bites and unsanitary conditions? That’s not hospitality—it’s insultingly inadequate. When I escalated the issue to Hilton corporate, their response was equally lackluster. We travel to Aurora 3–5 times per year and typically choose Hilton properties for their reliability and cleanliness. Unfortunately, this location has shattered that trust. If you value hygiene, comfort, and genuine customer service, stay elsewhere. There are plenty of hotels in the area that actually take guest health and cleanliness seriously.
