Stayed here recently and the breakfast experience was let down by the attitude at the live omelette counter. The chef (introduced to me by the hostess as Nick) was rude when I asked for a Spanish omelette - questioned what it was, then responded curtly with "you just need an omelette" when I explained the ingredients (cheese, tomato, onion, capsicum). The tone throughout was dismissive and unnecessary for a guest-facing role. Hotel facilities are otherwise fine, but this kind of attitude at the breakfast counter shouldn't be the norm at a Crowne Plaza property.
To be honest, I don’t even know where to start.
We had the best experience ever at this hotel. Hosting an event with 400+ people is no small task, yet everything was handled flawlessly.
The entire team was incredibly professional, attentive, and exceptionally accommodating. We are not used to receiving such a high level of VIP service in Switzerland, which made our stay even more memorable.
A huge bravo and heartfelt thank you to the entire Crowne Plaza team for making this event such a success. We will definitely be back!

I stayed at this hotel for around 4 nights in July 2023. The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, which made the stay more relaxing.
It also has relatively good access to the tram station. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the staff were excellent and very professional. The lobby area was also nice.
One of the highlights was the breakfast — it had a wide variety of options and everything was high quality.
Overall, I had a very satisfying stay and would recommend it.
I recently stayed at Crowne Plaza with friends from 12–14 June, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.
We were staying in separate double rooms, and both rooms encountered what appeared to be bugs on the bedding. One of my friends, found bugs on her pillow. Although she did not take photographs at the time, she experienced an allergic reaction whenever she entered the room, which was concerning.
The following day, I discovered a bug on my own pillow and took a photograph as evidence. Finding insects on hotel bedding is unacceptable under any circumstances, particularly at a well-known hotel operating under the IHG brand.
As guests, we expect a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. Instead, we left with serious concerns about the hotel’s housekeeping and cleanliness standards. The fact that two separate rooms experienced similar issues suggests this may not have been an isolated incident.
I have raised the matter directly with the hotel and am awaiting a response. However, based on this experience, I would urge management to investigate thoroughly and take immediate action to ensure future guests do not encounter the same issue.
Very disappointing and far below the standard I expected from Crowne Plaza.

Unfortunately, I had a disappointment with my last visit. They upgraded us with free breakfast upon checking in, but then proceeded with charging us for it the following day. When trying to fix the situation at the front desk, we were given an illogical explanation. We did not like the interaction. They also promised free parking, but tried to charge us for it the following day. The same lady who upgraded us was also helping us with checking out, but she completely forgot that she had given us free parking, too. I don't know where the problem is, but I know that promising guests extra perks and paid services for free, making them believe that they are special, only to forget about those promises during check out is wrong. In the end, we paid for the "free breakfast."
