The historic small town of Aarburg lies on the river Aare and at the intersection of the important north-south and east-west axis of Switzerland. The hotel is located next to a shopping centre. The centre offers over 50 shops, four restaurants, one lounge bar, a children's paradise and much more. We are a «Lifestyle» hotel with especially good value for money and fitted with the new fresh Holiday Inn Express room design that stands out thanks to its attractive, functional ambience.
A short distance away, you will find the Zurich-Bern and Basel-Lucerne motorway junctions. Public transport connections are located right outside the hotel (every 15 minutes to Zofingen, Olten, Rothrist). Our comfortable 80 rooms on 4 floors, (comprising: 7 family rooms with a separate bedroom and living room; and 3 wheelchair accessible rooms with a connecting room for a carer), plus breakfast which is always included. Park your car in front of the hotel and enjoy shopping at the Perry Center which is connected to the hotel. - PPP PSJun 18, 20261.0Holiday Inn Aarburg is a great hotel with very presentable interior. However, my experience with customer service at reception tonight was extremely disappointing. After repeatedly calling the front desk from my room over a period of approximately five minutes, my calls went completely unanswered. When I raised this with the receptionist, Jules, I was appalled to be told that the reason he did not answer the phone was because he was serving other customers at the desk and “could not do two things at once.” When I asked why he could not simply answer the phone briefly and advise that he was assisting other guests, he continued to repeat the same statement rather than addressing the concern. I explained that this was not an acceptable level of service for hotel guests, but the response remained dismissive and unhelpful. The situation became even more frustrating when I asked for his name. As he was not wearing a name badge, I requested that he write his name down because I was having difficulty understanding the pronunciation due to his accent. Rather than assisting, he refused, walked away to a back room, and returned wearing his name tag instead. The dismissive and arrogant attitude displayed throughout the interaction was extremely disappointing, particularly when compared with the lovely receptionist who had been working over the previous two days and who consistently provided excellent customer service. Management should seriously review the consistency of staff training and customer service standards because the experience I encountered tonight was completely unacceptable. Guests should not be expected to physically attend reception every time they require assistance simply because calls to the front desk are not answered.

Zimmer sind sauber und es war im gesamten Hotel durchweg angenehm ruhig gewesen. Frühstück war sehr lecker und es war alles vorhanden was man zu einem guten Frühstück benötigt. Perfekt für einen kurzen Aufenthalt.
