This is my first time back to this property after it rebranded from Hampton Suites in July 2025. Day of the Week check in- Friday How many nights- 1 Lobby/Common Area Roomy well lit No Coffee in lobby only in room Dining area Onsite cafe $24 / person buffet breakfast Lobby bathroom 3 sinks 1 urinal 2 stalls, no door gaps Clean and well stocked. Gym/Pool Outdoor pool closed for season Fitness center is bit on the small side but is clean. Ice Maker Only 1 on 2nd floor Has a water dispenser and a rack for ice buckets and decanter for water. WiFI Test # Day and time Test 1 Friday 502PM 56.4 Mbps Download 20.2 Mbps Upload, 9 ms Latency Outside perimeter Clean? Yes Ground Keeping? NA Spacious? Yes Safe? Sort of... dark areas Lighting? Lacking...did not see any lights along building. Perimeter lighting is lacking lumens. Even cars parked directly under light is barely lit. Staff Front Desk Staff Check in was really smooth. Front Desk (415PM, Friday) did an awesome job making us feel welcomed. He answered our questions. Later he did provide me coffee pods since the room only had 1 decaf pod. Room 142 Amenities Nespresso maker but when I checked in...only 1 decaf pod. Front desk was able to get me regular coffee pod. Mini fridge No Microwave Cleanliness Dust on top of mirror over desk. All other surfaces are dusted. Floor looks clean and swept Lighting Decent lighting, even with curtains drawn HVAC Wall mounted control. Wall unit. Pretty quiet system. Bathroom Roomy and clean, but the shower did not have any shelf to put soap or razor on. ***DO NOT TAKE LONG SHOWERS...over 5 minutes. The bathroom lights are in a motion sensor timer...it does not sense you when you are showering. Hint- you can balance your razor on the wall mounts for the bottles of bath products. Suggestions- remove the cute wooden "Do Not Disturb " sign. Otherwise it makes a racket when you open and close the front door. You cannot have the bathroom door and front door opened at the same time. They will collide.

My king bed room also had a bunk bed that I didn't ask for and given how little free space I had I would rather not have it. Really wasn't happy w this room but this is what they gave a silver level hilton honors member. The restaurant was very limited and had a single person.serving drinks & making all the food orders. Given the price of these rooms I would expect a lot more. There's a Best Western not far from this hotel. You would be better served IMHO staying there. It couldn't be as bad as this & it's closer to downtown Truckee. If you decide to stay here be prepared to drive some where to get something to eat. I thought staying somewhere that had a restaurant as part of the hotel was a plus but in this case it's a huge negative. The Hampton I stayed at in Reno was cheaper & a lot better.

I recently stayed at Martis Valley Lodge, and it was a great experience. The lodge is in a quiet, peaceful location, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The rooms were clean and well-kept, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It’s also in a convenient spot—close to Lake Tahoe and several other nearby lakes, which made it easy to get out and enjoy the outdoors. If you’re looking for a clean, quiet place to stay near Tahoe, I’d definitely recommend Martis Valley Lodge.
