    We have not stayed at a Holiday Inn in a while. However, we decided to try the one in Temecula and it did not disappoint. Antonia was our check-in front desk and she welcomed us with a great smile! Even the hotel is being renovated, there was no noise overnight, no dust and no nuisance at all. The pool area was clean, and the staff were very helpful. It is conveniently located close to shops, and our stay was top-notch!

    They are under construction, which we knew. But the way the workers acted like they were inconvenienced when asked for help was terrible Room (floor) not clean under desk, ( I know this because I was looking for an earring), found someone else's charger from a previous visit. Mold in bathroom, key cards always not working. Construction workers key cards worked in pool area but ours wouldn't. Brother's room smelled like it was closed up for eons. Pool area was dirty, debris in spa, spa was dirty, tables not clean, a stairs definitely not clean and the icing on the cake was a bug in the bread container on the last day there... did not eat breakfast that day.

    *******TRAVELER BEWARE ******^**. Booking was easy. Our group had 3 rooms. Hotel website indicated “ improvements to contour to enhance property “. I think they missed and are missing the mark. Pools and pool area severely neglected. Pools dirty, hot tub unusable during our 4 night/5 days, garbage and debris wind swept to corners, common areas not kept clean, pressed the handicap button to assist with door and the silver plate came loose almost fell off and assist did not work, rooms were all dark and dingy, front desk was unaccommodating to even simplest of request. Be sure to request your room cleaning 24 hours in advance. We were treated like criminals when we requested clean towels after being denied maid service. Constant problem with keys. Never had one key that would work for pool area. I travel 150-180 days per year. It has been a while since I have encountered a hotel like this. 2 stars at best. Traveler beware!!!!!

    It’s a dump compared to the other one in Murrietta. Only one caddy for the whole hotel. They are disorganized. What I booked was not what they had on their books. They did make that right . When I called them regarding them giving me a receipt that didn’t belong to me with the other parties personal information the person at the front desk named Yesena just said oh it was a mistake. If they had done that with my personal information there would have been hell to pay. When I tried to explain what that could mean since I have had my identity stolen she snickered in the background. That’s when my voice started to raise. This is serious especially in today’s world. People like that should not be in customer service if they don’t know how to handle customers concerns. She ended up hanging up on me. Will never go back there again. Horrible all the way around!

    Update: Thank you for your response. While I appreciate the apology, I am confused by the statement that this matter is being “escalated for full review.” If this situation is truly being taken seriously, I would expect direct communication, accountability, and a clear explanation of how this happened, along with specific steps being taken to prevent it from happening again. I was not invited in your response to contact anyone directly to help resolve this, nor has anyone reached out to obtain my reservation details. Without that, it is difficult to see how a meaningful review is taking place. Being told after the fact that this is being “escalated” does not feel sincere when no effort has been made to investigate my specific situation or offer a concrete resolution. At this point, the response reads as generic rather than a genuine attempt to make things right. I remain disappointed in how this was handled and hope to see real follow-through, not just words. ———————————————————————- We arrived at this Holiday Inn just after 10 PM to check in, only to be told that our reservation had been canceled because the hotel was overbooked. We received no call, no text, and no email beforehand absolutely no notification that our reservation had been canceled. The front desk agent simply told us we could speak to a manager on Monday, which obviously did nothing to help us on a Saturday night when we were stranded without a room. No effort was made to help us find another hotel or provide any immediate solution. When I asked for an email confirmation or printed documentation showing that our reservation was canceled, she refused and instead wrote down a phone number and the manager’s name on a piece of paper. As a loyal Holiday Inn and IHG customer, this experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Leaving guests without accommodations late at night with no notice or assistance is not how customers should be treated. To this day, I still have not received any official cancellation email. I expected much better service and accountability from this brand.
