Never even made it through the check in process. Paid extra to book a 1 King Room, quite a bit extra at that. When we arrived told they never got the reservation properly from Priceline/Expedia and it showed them to book us in whatever they had available which wasn’t a King Room. We could have lived with what they had put us in but we had spent an extra $120 to stay in the nicer room. There was absolutely nothing they would do beyond stare at us blankly. Ultimately I had to phone and wait on hold for Priceline who in turn confirmed that somewhere there was a screwup and promised to place us elsewhere. Well that was a disaster as well and we ended up getting a refund and booking a different hotel. Morale of the story is with this location phone and confirm your bed type because they are fairly inept at customer service beyond stating it really isn’t their problem. The manager tried to make out like a hero that if he had that room type available he would have put us in it and not charge us extra… I stated it’s not customer service to put a customer in the room he had already paid for and not charge extra.. Bottom line is it’s a sleepy town location with management who could care less because folks are only here transiently. Not a way to run an IHG branded hotel to a Gold Elite holder.

Have had issues checking in using the IHG booking service, I don’t have this problem with the other hotels, the last 2 times I have spent way too long checking in when it shouid be 5 minutes. The front desk doesn’t confirm in an email my booking, then wants my credit card when it’s all paid for by my company. The hotel is nice and the location is great, don’t want to use another hotel when I travel thru here but this is getting frustrating, especially as the other IHG’s are seamless so it’s an issue only in Swift Current.

Paid $50 more at this hotel on a Sunday night, than what I paid for one in moose jaw the night before. When I asked to speak to a manager, of course one wasn't available, but would call me back that morning. Of course I did not receive a call from the manager.
The hotel wasn't up to holiday inn standards, in my opinion. It definitely wasn't as clean and quiet as the one in moose jaw. I tried giving them my email address 3 times, twice over the phone and once at the front desk. I still haven't received anything from this hotel, not even my bill. The so called breakfast was disgusting, soggy eggs, turkey sausages and canned beans. What country do they think we are in? I do not recommend staying at this hotel. However the one across the street looks very nice.

Work crew stayed here and was overcharged for one night. No hot water for the entire 4 days!!!!
Took 4 months, 4 phone calls and finally a credit card dispute to get my refund!!
Staff and manager were absolutely useless. I asked for the manager and apparently he/she is never in and doesn't respond to messages or phone calls. So Google Reviews is the way.
Also this complaint has been forwarded to Holiday Inn Corporate!!

I had planned to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, but after my interactions with the hotel, I chose to take my business elsewhere.
I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), a disability that can make it difficult or impossible for me to stay in rooms containing strong fragrances or cleaning products. Because of this, I contacted the hotel in advance and explained my situation. I was simply looking for a reasonable accommodation that would allow me to determine whether I could safely occupy the room before being committed to the reservation.
One employee, Prince, genuinely tried to help and deserves credit for his efforts. He listened to my concerns and appeared willing to work toward a solution.
Unfortunately, that was not my experience with the rest of the hotel. The woman who answered the phone the following day seemed disinterested in my situation and offered little assistance. More disappointing was management's response. Despite being informed of my disability, Prince's manager would not allow a reservation that was conditional on my being able to use the room safely. There appeared to be no interest in finding a practical accommodation or working with me to address the issue.
What makes this especially frustrating is that another hotel in the same chain handled the situation completely differently. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Regina took my disability seriously, worked with me to find a suitable room, and went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. The Swift Current location chose not to.
I contacted this hotel before booking, explained my disability, and asked for accommodation. That accommodation was refused. As a result, I cancelled my plans to stay there and booked with a hotel that was willing to work with me.
While I appreciate Prince's efforts, my overall impression is that management was unwilling to accommodate a guest with a disability. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property.
