  Google reviews list this hotel at 3.7 stars. The most honest review is generous 2.7-3.0. The bonus to staying here is a full breakfast which can pose a significant savings for a family and free parking. Although the hotel is going through renovations, we ended up in a room that had not yet been renovated, not even minimally cosmetic (take the chair out, for goodness sake and remove the wall piece). Don't settle on this hotel, look around the area for alternatives for the same price point, free breakfast, and free parking.

  I do not recommend it. Very disappointing experience. We booked a room at Holiday Inn Express Monterrey for approximately $uS 902. 92 and were unable to stay. Upon arrival, we were informed about ongoing construction on the upper floors, something that was never communicated beforehand. However, we observed that there were still guests staying on those floors and there was no noticeable noise. The room we were offered was completely different from what we booked. Instead of the advertised view, we were given a third-floor room with a side view facing only vegetation, nothing like the lake or scenic views shown in the photos. The advertising is misleading. The room also had two double beds, which was not suitable for us as a couple. When we requested an alternative, the receptionist was unhelpful and dismissive. We ended up leaving without using the room at all, losing more than three hours trying to resolve the situation and having to find another hotel urgently. Several days have passed and the refund has still not been processed. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience. I recommend being cautious when booking this hotel.

  Prics is good but rooms are not so clean. Bathroom needs work and the outdoor sink isn't so lovely.

  Cassandra was an amazing help, from the minute we walked in. I had a concern about the rooms after reading a few bad reviews and I’m not sure why. The rooms are clean and no bad smells. The location is convenient and close to everything. Great spot to rest after a long day of exploring around. 😄
