- JRJessica RileyDec 30, 20251.0So sorry about this review. IHG has standards but not the case here. Unfortunately the Monterrey location has the following major concerns. Please read before booking!! 1. Mold and mildew in bathrooms 2. Smoky musty smells in rooms 3. Dated Carpets 4. Something or the other won’t work, light, fridge, exhaust you name it. If you are an IHG member and want to use the chain go to Holiday Inn in SALINAS , IHG it’s new and renovated and well maintained! Free toiletry if you don’t have any excellent breakfast and service, worth it although you have to trek back and forth for 30 min daily to get to Monterey. It was sold out and couldn’t get in but a friend shared their experience and it was night and day to what we had in Monterey Holiday Inn at Del Monte. Pros Waiting to see what breakfast will be like Newly remodeled lounge well kept new extension to building Has pool and hot tub. Pool cold. Overall I would not stay here or recommend it ever to anyone. The whole hotel needs a major renovation it’s an old mite conversion and very obvious. Save yourself your money and stay elsewhere!!

Floors wet dirty chips all over walls mildew in the bathtub on some of the handles we had no choice due to it being late will never ever go baxk to the person who worked there. No it was in the evening we had been driving all day didn't feel like going down and changing rooms AFTER we had already unpacked. Also if you looked at your reviews I am not the ONLY one who complained of the room being dirty!!
