This hotel is in a perfect location. It’s ideal for relaxing and for going on excursions in the surrounding area. It has a heated pool, and the staff is excellent.

Heater was broken, ice cold. Why stay in Scott’s valley if you’re visiting, lots of options closer to the beachfront

We are in the middle of a multi-night stay at this property. The physical plant is actually very nice, but the service so far has been abysmal. First, when we checked in, the front desk clerk (James) was extremely rude. He repeatedly insisted that we didn’t have a reservation, speaking to us as if we were idiots—when it turned out that the problem was on HIS end, because of his inability to correctly read a two-syllable last name off of a credit card or driver’s license. Second, we can’t get anyone to clean up some cereal that our two-year-old spilled, because of the hotel’s extremely inflexible policy of “no stay-over service”—i.e., if the room isn’t being prepared for a new guest, zero housekeeping, even upon request. I get “no daily housekeeping” as a default policy—it’s probably some cost-saving measure introduced by whatever giant private-equity company owns this place—but housekeeping should be available upon request. After all, this is a “Hilton Hilton,” not a Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton Inn. I hope someone from the hotel sees this review so we can get the cereal vacuumed before roaches or mice or other vermin come. It’s unfortunate when a nice physical plant is marred by bad service (although shoutout to Lisa at the breakfast buffet, who’s wonderful). Sigh. [UPDATE: Thanks to the hotel for responding! I was able to get the cereal vacuumed (by begging a housekeeper to help me). Also on the positive side, I would like to praise Jeromey at the front desk, who was very helpful and friendly at checkout. I have raised my rating from two to three stars.]

I stayed two nights during Thanksgiving week. The hotel was very nice, neat and presentable, and located in a very nice area with beautiful natural surroundings. The room was nice, cozy, and super clean. The entire hotel was quiet, which I loved. It was also nice that they sell snacks late at night.
Also, there’s no guest courtesy parking. You do have to pay for expensive parking.
My room had a smart TV that we enjoyed on our first night. BUT I was awakened at 10AM!!! by maintenance thumping on my door saying they had to check the fire sprinklers in every room. I refused to open because I’ve NEVER had this experience in any hotel!
Thumping on the door as if I was barricaded was unnecessary. A simple courtesy call would have done it.
I was startled. I called the front desk, and they confirmed it was legit. The manager came up. He was very kind and respectful.
As a lone woman with a minor, I’m skeptical of opening my room to anyone I don’t know... especially men... even maintenance with aggressive knocking.
This experience made me very uncomfortable. You have no idea why I would not allow 2 maintenance men into my room. I pay for privacy and peaceful sleep, and I never allow anyone coming into my hotel room during my stays, not even housekeeping, unless it’s an emergency. This was not.
I honestly contemplated, leaving the very next day, but I only had one more night so I stayed.
I’m not looking for anything by this review.
An advance notice at check in, a written notice inside the hotel room, or a visible sign somewhere inside the property where it’s clearly visible to all guests would have been nice.

We were there for Thanksgiving weekend - Wednesday evening check in went well. Breakfast was $25 which was surprising- ok meal. We left at 10am and the disappointing part came when we returned -at 7pm. To find our room was not serviced. Then to make matters more frustrating the front desk man said they don't service if we have our sign on our door.... really? I mentioned I have plenty of experience staying at a Hilton (as well as other fine hotels) He said everyone was gone and he said there's nothing he could do. I said we need towels, coffee, & water, so figure out how that could happen- I can go down from our 6th floor to pick it up. He sent someone up. Argh a good 45-50 minutes of our relaxing time eaten up by poor management---
Day 2 - no room service again!!! I called to be told at 3 pm the same thing, don't leave your sign out ( which was sitting by the coffee pot inside our room) everyone was gone - I stated I passed someone at the end of the hall so perhaps he could have that person help us out. Still no room service - just fresh towels, and coffee-
VERY disappointing!!!!
Will not return.
