Fire pit broken upon arrival. Requested different room. Offered a standard room with no monetary reimbursement for the difference in room price. Food voucher of $50 offered to account for broken fire pit.
Sheets covered in blood stains. Service to request change of sheets was poor. Requested a change at 10 PM, and it took 30 minutes for someone to come. Will not come back and would not recommend to anyone.

The room and location were absolutely fantastic; we already miss the stunning contrast of the blue ocean and the lush green grasslands. We also want to highlight that the bike rental service and its staff were excellent.
However, the overall service quality was a bit of a mixed bag. After extending our stay, we had to visit the front desk twice just to get our key cards working. During the second attempt, the experience became quite uncomfortable. The staff member asked for the ID, spent over ten minutes operating at the desk, and then disappeared into a back room for another five minutes without any explanation. The process was so intensive and poorly explained that it felt less like a room-key refresh and more like a discriminatory background check.
While the setting is perfect and some other front desk members were very helpful, this particular interaction was a major low point. The front desk experience needs to be much more seamless and communicative to match the beauty of the property.

Kathy Smilie's review is overall pretty spot on. This is an older property that is coasting on its location and convention business. I stay here for business occasionally but the nickel and diming can be grating.
The front desk staff has been great but the last time I stayed here I got into an argument at checkout with the manager over parking charges when she knew it's included in my companies' negotiated contract. I would guess that they're just that desperate for revenue but then why give your corporate customers a hard time? Bizarre.
Most of the rooms i've stayed in have been well appointed but the TV setup is about a decade out of date. And several rooms I've stayed in have had hot water issues. YMMV.
I would advise looking at other properties, especially if you're paying retail expecting a luxury resort experience.

I was very disappointed in the pool towel policy. Why cant I take the towel back to my room?
The restaurant staff were very rude about my husband and I using the fire pits on our last night and even took the gas away. What an embarrassment! As the staff all drank at the bar after hours, they easily could have let us enjoy our fire until they planned to go home.
The breakfast at Round house was terrible: soggy toast, bad omelet, worst eggs Benedict… Did not bring us our coffee drinks until after we had our food.
We stayed in a suit for 3 nights with an amazing oceanview. I wish I had a better review.

This hotel is close to the beach but has serious deferred maintenance. We had a slow running tub and I formed maintenance at noon. No response until we called/text at 4… went to the front desk and they still aren’t sure when it will be fixed.
