We arrived pretty late tonight and went to the front desk. We gave our names and our reservation couldn't be found. My husband pulled it up on his phone and Abraham, who was helping us, created a reservation right then for us. He also upgraded our room for us having to wait just a few extra minutes. Abraham was so kind and friendly and so fast to get us checked in. When we got up to our room, he called to make sure our room was comfortable and we happy with it. We will always stay here! THANK YOU ABRAHAM!

So bummed. Left some of mt family’s xmas presents—including very expensive jeans—in my room. Didn’t realize it till I left. I knew EXACTLY where I left them folded on a chair. No question. I called same day. Could not reach a single person. I was on hold for 15 minutes then the line said “no one is able to take your call try again later.” Called repeatedly over the next week. I was either hung up on or transferred multiple times to the lost and found and I left messages. No one got back to me. I went to the hotel to get my items. I waited for 30 minutes to be told they were no where to be found. Should be simple. But it wasn’t. Manager who told everyone to “keep smiling” was absolutely no help and made me uncomfortable when I asked questions about what happens when something is found in a room. He was condescending and involved another customer who was checking out. I’m sad I lost our Xmas gifts but I’m also sad it was so hard to just get help with something so easy. Make sure to double/triple check your room before you leave, because if you leave something valuable forget about getting it back.
Update: I called and asked to file an incident report in order to then file a police report. My items were then found.

Please do not stay here if you can.
This was a very disappointing experience, especially for the price and the Crowne Plaza name.
When we arrived, the person supposed to help with luggage did nothing, even though we had many bags and small kids. Our room was not ready, and he didn’t mention luggage storage at all. When I asked, he told me to leave the bags against a wall and said he was leaving in one minute. Completely useless.
At check-in, the front desk agent was anxious and unhelpful. She refused to tell us when or which rooms we would get and said there was nothing she could do to place our three booked rooms on the same floor, blaming “the system” and interrupting instead of helping.
When we finally went to the rooms, the keys did not work. We had to go back downstairs and then wait over 20 minutes for help because there was only one staff member available.
Poor service, disorganization, and zero hospitality. This hotel does not meet Crowne Plaza standards, and I would not recommend it—especially for families.

We had an uncomfortable two-night stay in December. We arrived exhausted after a 15 hour flight. The room was nice, but we were quite cold, coming from a warmer climate. The air conditioning could not heat the room. The hotel sent up a technician, which soon became a team of three technicians. They agreed that the unit was not working properly, but were unable to fix it Their best suggestion was that we change rooms. We had to decline - we were very tired and had already unpacked. The provided extra blankets, and we bundled up during the night.
We needed help to find the closet in the room. It looked like a door connecting to the adjacent room: The handle did not look like a closet handle at all.
The hotel restaurant was not cheap, but did have nice fruit and yogurt plates for breakfast.
My wife has a slightly different perspective on our stay. I am adding her comments below. Everything she says is correct; I just had a slightly different emphasis. ->
We got to the hotel on an international flight at 7am. To its credit, the hotel generously allowed us to occupy the room shortly after our arrival and we did not have to wait till 4pm, as other hotels in this area stipulated. This was a selling point for us and we chose The Crowne Plaza because of this policy.
The room was clean and comfortable and, until the problem with the heat, we were quite pleased.
We had a two-night stay. On the evening of the second day the toilet backed up and could not be flushed. Housekeeping and Engineering had already gone for the day so till the next morning at about 9am, we could not flush the toilet. In a hotel of this size I would have expected there to be someone on duty for these emergencies. Were it not for the pleasant reception that we received at arrival and early access to the room, we would have raised a ruckus. This surely should not happen in a hotel of this caliber.
I wondered if this room was available because it was sub-standard. Broken heating and broken plumbing. If this is the case, the early access was a mixed blessing.

NEVER Again : We booked Crown Plaza Harbor-ING for close proximity to Harbor. Included room for one night, breakfast for two, 24 hr shuttle to/from port and parking up to 14 days. Sounds like a good deal $200. Checked in PM and NO parking available. Told to park off street in city metered zones. Parking garage full of enterprise car rental and employees. An employee whose shift was off offered us their spot. We tipped employee $20. Shuttle TO port no problem/ with three time slots available. Upon return from cruise, we waited at port shuttle pick up zone for 1 1/2 hours along with a crowd of others. Called hotel and was told shuttle just left. Clearly false as it NEVER showed up.I doubt there was a pick up shuttle as the roads were clear and none were enroute. Signs at port indicated area was for Crown Plaza pick up. Other hotel shuttles came and left, but NOT ONE from Crown Plaza Harbor -ING. Guests ended up paying Uber $60 for a 3 block ride. This is clearly FALSE advertisement. This hotel does NOT have enough parking for guests AND should make that clear on website. We heard from guests who arrived earlier that there was almost a fight over parking in lobby earlier in the day Only option is to park illegally in red zones and hope you don't get towed, OR park off street and wake up early and drive around trying to get a spot as someone returns from a cruise. A total mess!!! Hotel itself is not bad. Breakfast was good. Staff gives off a "not my problem" attitude towards the parking problem which in my opinion, cannot be solved unless they come up with an overflow lot, OR get additional shuttles to provide service to/from port. Port charges $20 per day for parking. Walking from port is difficult with luggage and no access exits for pedestrians. The port is Literally fenced in like Fort Knox. We will NOT be staying again. Would like ING to be honest and upfront with parking/ shuttle service AND not advertise amenities that they clearly are NOT equipped to provide. The attitude of employees indicates that this happens frequently. The parking garage was a mess with cars parked in NO parking zones and some doubled parked. Buyer beware!! When a deal is too good, it probably is NOT! Booked through AAA. Will inform agent.
