I recently stayed at this Crowne Plaza and had a generally positive experience. The rooms were clean, and the bathrooms were decent and well-stocked—they even left a spare roll of toilet paper, which is always appreciated.
The absolute highlight of the trip was the hot tub on the second floor; it was surprisingly quiet and not busy at all, making for a very relaxing break. I also have to shout out the waitress in the dining room. Even when things looked busy and she was clearly overwhelmed, she kept a smile on her face and provided great service. Would definitely stay here again!

Avoid at all costs. Hotel wasn’t prepared for our big group reservation and didn’t have parking for us at all. Coming in after working a 12hr shift, a hotel is suppose to give you hospitality and information. Crowne Plaza doesn’t do that at all and didn’t even apologize or offer solutions to assist guests with parking or rooms. Unprofessional and no hospitality. We might as well sleep in our cars. Also, furniture is outdated

Hotel cancelled our reservation which we had booked through the IHG app. Indicated that they were over capacity and since we were arriving late they ran out card and it was "declined" which is a complete fabrication. Called my credit card company and confirmed that it didn't happen.
We had the room booked for 6 months in advance if our cruise ship this left us in a bind. There was no notification once we arrived at LAX... We called hotel to advise we were enroute and would arrive after midnight due to flight schedules and ONLY found out at that time that our room was cancelled... Or more likely, given to someone else as mentioned, hotel was over capacity.
Thankfully, the front desk person made arrangements and hastily got a room cleaned for us before our arrival.
Rating of 1 Star because of the help from the front desk. This would be a zero had that not been the case.
Got to the room to find bar sink tap running and overflowing into the counter and floor.

Very Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price
We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Pedro, near the World Cruise Port, and the experience was extremely disappointing—especially for the price.
I called twice before arrival to explain we were traveling with children and to confirm proper sleeping arrangements. Despite this, we were given a room with two double beds and no cot available, forcing my husband to sleep on the floor.
The room itself was in poor condition: a ripped, mismatched chair cushion, curtains hanging off the hooks, scratches and permanent marker on the furniture, old food residue under the TV stand, and heavy dust throughout. This was unacceptable, especially while traveling with kids.
I politely spoke to the front desk and even asked about paying for an upgrade. The next day I was told the hotel was sold out and that “all the rooms are that way,” which was incredibly discouraging.
This hotel did not match the Crowne Plaza brand or the online photos. The only positive was decent food at the restaurant. Overall, this stay was overpriced, misleading, and very disappointing.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the cruise port for a 1 night pre cruise stay & wasn’t sure what to expect from reading previous reviews. We arrived well before check in time & we’re warmly greeted by the 2 ladies at the front desk who also kindly allowed us early access to our room. I’d booked a harbor view Jr suite & the room was nicely maintained, sparkling clean & had a lot of room to relax. It was quiet & we had a comfortable nights sleep without any issues. I received a nice text message asking if I was happy with the room & to let them know if I needed anything.
They have a shuttle to the ship for only $11 per person which was nice, avoiding the need for uber or taxi.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of several good restaurants & attractions, including the waterfront & maritime museum & USS Iowa. I would highly recommend this hotel & wouldn’t hesitate to stay here on a future visit to the area.
