    I was part of the Motor Bus Society group of 30 guests who stayed at this hotel April 15-19. The hotel has recently updated guest rooms with modern furniture with glass tops, a nice touch. The vanity is separate from the toilet and bath which makes it easy for two people to get ready in the morning. Housekeeping services were excellent. The hotel is outside of downtown San Jose but on the light rail line to downtown with free airport pickup since airport is very close by. Manager of Sales Sara Tagliarino ably and cooperatively handled our group booking and threw in their very good buffet breaksfast. There was not only eggs/bacon/sausage but also hot oatmeal, cereals, yogurt/fruit/granola options, very much appreciated. Our group dined several nights at their bar/dining room. On one night, 16 of us with no notice ordered dinner 75-minutes before our evening business meeting. Executive Chef Jamil Diaz and especially server/bartender Lili Guerrero very quickly, efficiently and cheerfully took our order, prepared and delivered our meals and did check-out all within 75 minutes. A very impressive team led by Banquet Captain Sal Abundiz. We were very please with this hotel.

    Merrill (pretty sure that's how you spell it) greeted me with a nasty attitude that she kept up the entire time we spoke. She was mad that I approached a locked door that I had incorrectly assumed was the front door. She did her best to make me feel unwelcome, stupid, and doubled down on it with every sentence. It's like she forgot she was at work. Maybe this one star review will assist in management getting her retrained in customer service. I guess the last thought she had on her mind was that she was openly insulting a local guide on Google maps. Be careful how you speak to people while you're on the clock, here's your reminder.

    Great location for us. Room, toilet handle keeps getting stuck, must jiggle. The front desk recommended a taxi to the train station. Well 5 am came at 510 we decided to Uber. It worked for us. But the front desk DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH or the cab just didn't show. Sharing experience.

    Beautiful hotel and great rooms. My issue is with customer service. I left a very important bag in my room and the staff have been less than helpful in helping return my property. Unfortunately the local police had to get involved. It's unfortunate such a reputable hotel chain is withholding my property/ being dishonest about property left behind.
