I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in a fourth-floor, poolside room with a patio and firepit. But what has really made the experience special is the staff, who have been unfailingly kind, courteous and helpful. I would especially like to call out Ariana and Luis at Aji, and Lucas and Pasquale Federico at The Fountain. Absolutely a credit to the property. And although I didn’t get their names, the man and woman who were basically at the front desk the entire weekend were great as well. And while I’m at it, the people at the valet couldn’t have been better. Nice property, but even better people!

The hotel has been renovated which is good however service is non existent. They didn’t even service my room despite me being gone for 16 hours. The gym had no towels. The bathtub in my room did not drain. The soap dispensers were empty. When I explained to management they offered a poor resolution. On checkout there was confusion and the promise was not honored. I won’t be back as a result - I am diamond and stay in hotels 230+ nights a year. Avoid this one.

Staff was efficient and helpful. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully designed and impeccable clean. The rooms were a different story. Our room was very spacious with great shower facilities, but it's the little details that missed the mark. There's no thoughtful interior design in the room, a stark contrast to the lobby. Room seems even a little outdated, with the toilet gurgling up water every time we flush. There was also a single sock left behind on the chair when we first got in the room.

I recently stayed at the Signia by Hilton in downtown San Jose, and it made a great impression. The hotel feels modern and upscale from the moment you walk in, with a spacious lobby and a clean, well‑maintained atmosphere throughout the property. My room was comfortable, stylish, and thoughtfully designed—plenty of space, a great bed, and all the amenities you’d expect from a higher‑end Hilton brand. The location is one of its biggest strengths. Being right in the heart of downtown San Jose makes it incredibly convenient for restaurants, events, and exploring the area. Whether you’re in town for business or a weekend getaway, it’s easy to get around. Service was friendly and professional, and the on‑site dining options were solid, making it simple to grab a meal or drink without leaving the hotel. Overall, the Signia delivers a polished, comfortable stay in a prime location, and I’d happily return.

This property is marketed as a 5-star hotel, which is exactly why we chose it to celebrate my fiancée’s birthday while traveling with our 2-month-old baby and 3-year-old. Unfortunately, our experience was far from 5-star. Our first room had drains backing up with loud sewer noises coming from the sink in the living area next to the sofa bed. The sudden, repeated noise frightened our 3-year-old and made it difficult for him to settle down. We were moved. The second room had a strong sewer odor throughout the unit. We were moved again. The third room had a non-functioning AC system, requiring maintenance to open panels and work inside the room late at night while our children were trying to sleep. We were then moved yet again and placed in a single queen room — not the 1 King Suite with sofa bed we booked and paid for. As a result, our 3-year-old had to sleep on a rollaway bed after being relocated multiple times past 10:30 PM. By the end of the evening, what was meant to be a special birthday stay turned into repeated late-night disruptions with a newborn and an exhausted toddler. Management ultimately comped the night, which we appreciate. However, experiencing drain backups, sewer odor, HVAC failure, incorrect room assignment, and multiple relocations in one stay does not align with a 5-star standard. The staff remained polite, but the operational and maintenance breakdown was significant. I hope the property addresses these issues to ensure future guests receive the level of quality the brand promises.
