Feel very sorry for this rundown hotel in a great hotel.
This old hotel (at least 30 years) really needs a major overhaul, the musty smell in the room is not only unpleasant, also unhealthy.
Also the $29.00 breakfast is pitiful too. Only four hot items ( scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, and hash brown ) to choose from. The brown water they call it “coffee” also horrible.
You really need to avoid this hotel at all cost.

This is not a 4 star hotel just a ran down double tree. Shower head was disgusting rust on different surfaces, poor maintenance of rooms, didn’t even spend 30 minutes before I left for another hotel literally wasted money.

Hallways were dark , hotel layout made for a long walking distance from reception/ front. As 2 female travelers, we felt unsafe. The hotel overall smelled musty and damp but the basement room smelled so musty, with visible mildew on walls and ceiling. After reading the in-room warning poster for personal safety, we had an overall uneasy feeling and did not sleep well. We had a layover only, so we're up at 5am and gone to airport early. It is unfortunate that the website made it appear as a beautiful resort style hotel. It really put a damper on our last leg of the trip. When we moved up to second floor, the room was far nicer but we couldn't shake the feeling of being hyper aware.

Disgusting Hotel. We've stayed here over the years when flying through San Jose and have enjoyed it in the past. This visit was completely different. The general area and room carpets are filthy and everything is dated, worn and not very clean. Customer service is non existent. The check in staff was apathetic to any of our requests. Parking payment is overly convoluted. We slept with our socks on and left early the next morning for the airport. We never could get the heat or cooling to work in the room. It blew air the same temperature no matter what. We were too tired given this was a quick layover to bother pursuing all the issues. It's a shame, because it is a great location if you have an early morning flight. I suggest the hotel needs a major renovation. We know this is not a top tier hotel, but it is not even average.

This place has so many issues I don't know where to begin.
Update:
It's 2am and my room is too hot to sleep. Opening the balcony door in hopes the could air outside will cool my room down since the AC doesn't work.
Original review:
The check-in process was fast more difficult than required. I tried to book a room using the Hilton Android application but the save button would not work so I couldn't add a payment method. This meant I had to book using the website which was inconvenient.
Getting to the hotel was easy enough but I wasn't sure which parking entrance was correct because they aren't well marked. Then the parking itself was rough because the gate mechanism is there but also broken, so I just pulled in and parked in a space. There's a QR code for parking, it's $32 per night but you can't actually do it until you know your room number. With the run-down lot and no security I'm not sure what I'm getting for my $32.
Checking in at the counter was a pain that took forever. I'm not sure why but they tried to upgrade my room to another floor that didn't have a king bed, so that had to be declined. I ended up on the 3rd floor where the hallway was full of trash, and stains.
My room is barren, dirty, old, and broken. The lock on the door is physically broken so I can't secure the room. There's no refrigerator. The outlets are so worn that they won't hold the AC adapter to charge my phone.
If I didn't get here at 10pm I would just cancel my room and go elsewhere but I'm tired so I'll flag this place so I know to stay elsewhere next time.
