Be forewarned. Based on the reviews, and price we paid (within $10 of $200) for parking ($5), taxes, and room rate, the condition and location disappointed me.
At about 10 pm, I felt disappointed in how a reckless driver sped to our left as I prepared to turn into the parking lot, how a man on a stopped bike appeared to be watching the parking lot, how a tall metal column blocked the driver's car door from opening fully (I should've backed up), and inside, how a transparent shield separated the reception desk from customers. Especially at night, I can imagine that the hotel clerks could greatly appreciate it for security. Despite the tall parking lot fence, I felt unsafe in the area at night.
After checking in, I felt disappointed that no extra blanket was available for our chilly room (an apologetic receptionist could offer only a sheet), and I slept poorly with the heat turned up. In our room, I was disappointed to see an obviously broken lampshade, dust on towel racks and a light switch cover, and an unknown brown gritty looking particle in a crevice on top of something on the bedside table. Thankfully, the sheets and large surfaces looked clean.
I did not take time for photos since I wanted to just leave in the morning. My overall impression was that the room was very well-worn, and I would typically expect to feel more satisfied with lodging at that price.
We chose to stay at this Best Western based on the ratings and proximity to an event. Next time, I would stay elsewhere.
Both the morning and evening staff acted polite and friendly. I appreciated them.
