  One of the best views of San Francisco City right from your room (if you're high enough) or if you head to Top of the Mark you'll have an amazing view. Overall Amazing front desk staff and Armen barman makes a mean cocktail. Ask him for a Penicillin, trust me one of the best you'll ever have. I came here for the RSA Conference and this was a great spot to be. My only complaint is that the hill to come back to the hotel reminded me of how old I am! :)

  It's a great location a little bit of a hike like 45 degrees uphill if walking but it's worth it. Clean all around and had a park near by. Rooms are a bit old but it was fine as u got a deal. Staff were super nice and helpful.

  If you are curious about what a luxury hotel looked like in the 1970’s then this is your place as it seems to have been frozen in time for the last 50 years with zero improvements The one positive was the staff was very nice. The air conditioning also worked well.

  Disappointed ! We recently stayed 3 days at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins and our stay was just ok For the price per night we were expecting great service, bigger rooms, and some in room amenities ( water bottles at least ) We did not received the friendly service we have received at other Intercontinental’s. Not sure the price we paid is worth staying here

  Paid over $700 for 2 nights in a Junior Suite at InterContinental San Francisco, specifically requesting and selecting “quiet room away from elevator” during booking. Upon arrival, reception said ALL Junior Suites are next to elevators and offered only a downgraded lower-category room. Had no choice but to accept. The original room was right by the elevator shaft – constant squeaking, rattling and banging directly behind the headboard. On top of that: room not cleaned for TWO full days (zero housekeeping), minibar locked the whole stay with no access or explanation and hotel staff that could not be bothered, nor they have tried to offer customer friendly solution. For a so-called 5-star luxury hotel this is unacceptable– paid premium price for basic failures and broken promises. Never again. Avoid if you value sleep and proper service.
