  The Four Seasons Embarcadero delivered on every expectation. Through FHR we were upgraded to a stunning bay-view room on the 48th floor, with a sweeping panorama of the Golden Gate Bridge — easily the finest view we've encountered across all our San Francisco stays. Worth noting for first-time guests: the hotel occupies roughly floors 38–48, so it's a boutique property by Four Seasons standards. This is reflected in the single restaurant and a lobby more intimate than you might anticipate — but neither felt like a shortcoming. If anything, the scale lends the place a refined, unhurried atmosphere. Staff were consistently warm and professional. Dining was excellent — food quality was high and service both prompt and polished. The location is a genuine asset as well: a short, pleasant walk to the Embarcadero piers, in a stretch of the city that feels noticeably cleaner than many other SF neighborhoods. For travelers who prioritize extraordinary views paired with an intimate luxury experience, this is an easy recommendation.

  You’re not just staying in San Francisco. You’re staying above it. We stayed on the 43rd floor with views towards the Golden Gate Bridge & The Transamerica Building. Those views are amazing. Always first class service in every way.

  Our recent stay at the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero was nothing short of exceptional — truly a five-star experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. A special thank you to Robert, one of the bellmen, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. The front desk team was equally outstanding — warm, attentive, and thoughtful in every interaction. We were especially touched by the personalized gestures during our stay — a beautifully arranged charcuterie board, a bottle of wine (a fantastic Chianti), and dessert pastries presented on a charming Golden Gate Bridge statue. It was such a unique and memorable detail that perfectly captured the spirit of San Francisco. One of the highlights was spending time on the terrace, which offered breathtaking views of the sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge. The heated furniture made it incredibly comfortable, creating the perfect setting to relax and take it all in. Breakfast each morning was another standout, thanks to our wonderful server, Fei, whose attentiveness and kindness elevated the entire experience. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and it’s clear this property takes great pride in delivering an elevated guest experience. We can’t wait to return.

  My favorite hotel in San Francisco is Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero it always feels like home every time I stay. The concierge team is consistently helpful, and the rooms are always clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The views are incredible Room 4514 in particular is something special, especially during sunrise. It’s one of those views that fits any mood… absolutely beautiful. That said, my only complaint is with their third-party car service. It’s not very flexible and honestly feels a bit unfair. For example, my mom had a flight back to Hawaii that got delayed by an hour. She contacted the concierge to make adjustments, but the car service still sent the driver anyway and charged her for the waiting time even though the delay was out of her control. For future guests, I’d recommend just using Uber or Lyft for more flexibility.
