  3 stars, but only because of the ridiculous resort fee. This is not a resort, there are no amenities. Breakfast and WiFi are included at every holiday inn in the country. Don’t try to sell me on the ideas than these are amenities. But seriously, it’s a decent hotel in an ideal location. Close to the tourist attractions but not too close. Reasonably priced for what it is and where it is. The includes free breakfast was better than some holiday Inns. I don’t know how, it’s all the exact same stuff, but it was a little better. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I got a late checkout on my departure day. The “view” out our window was an empty courtyard. No idea what the purpose of it, just to give us a window maybe? 1 star for the towels. Did you get these from Goodwill’a throw away pile? These were the thinnest, crappiest towels I have very seen. Maybe use some of that resort fee money and spring for new towels.

  Late night front desk experience was disappointing. I had an issue with my room around 11 pm and was told an engineer was not available, which I understand. However I was asked to walk to the front desk three separate times for new keys during a room change, and calls to the desk were not answered The inconvenience aside, what stood out was the lack of politeness and basic courtesy from the staff member

  Great location....incredibly small room without a view.... at 185$ a night I guess my expectations were higher.. hotel was clean and free breakfast had a nice coffee station.... our king sized bed only had 1 nightstand and there wasn't room for our suitcases.... we were in room 237

  Hotel service is top notch. Held our bags until we could check in and were very helpful on where to eat, drink and shop. Very clean and secure. The complimentary breakfast is very good as well. Would be nicer if rooms had a couch or regular chair. It is located within short walking distance of pier 39, pier 33(Alcatraz shuttle),fisherman's warf, Ghirardelli Square and Lombard street. Short walk to shopping and tons of food options(must try Fog Harbour Fish House) great value

  We had an amazing weekend in San Fran and it all started with checking in here. The customer service is right on, the staff was kind and patient is recommending places to go and places to eat. The house staff we came in contact in were all welcoming every time, our room staff was Lisa Li and she was on top our room. Nothing beats coming back after a long day to a fresh room, we were very grateful for her and the housekeeping staff. The hotel is very clean, the location kept us in a short walking distance to everything we needed, drugstores, Trader Joe's, the Water, the Pier, everything is really close. Beds were very comfy, bathrooms were spotless. Will 100% return!
