I recently stayed at the Edwardian Hotel in San Francisco, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience for the price. It was incredibly affordable, especially for a city like San Francisco, and the size of the room was just perfect for two people. Having an onsite bathroom was a huge plus—it’s always nice to have that privacy and convenience without having to share.
I knew going in that there was no Air Conditioning, but honestly, it wasn't an issue at all. We just opened the windows, and the fresh air that came in was lovely. It actually made the room feel very authentic and cozy, and I really loved that connection to the outside.
If I were to offer a couple of tiny suggestions for improvement, they would be minor. I think higher curtains would help block out a bit more sunlight in the mornings. Also, adding a long mirror to the closet door would be a game-changer so I wouldn't have to pop downstairs to use the lobby mirror to check my outfit. However, I’m definitely not going to ding the hotel for those things—they’re just small tweaks I would suggest.
Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely book this hotel again.

Got a weeks stay for $1039 for Game Developers Conference. The door needs you to be buzzed in by the staff which I didn't expect and it's a 10 minute
walk away from the civic center/un plaza Bart station. They had some technical difficulties with the heating during my stay and offered extra blankets.
The elevator is a little old which was cool never seen one like it outside of movies before. My room was right next to the elevator which was nice at first but it also meant I heard whenever someone was getting in or off of it. The staff is very helpful and searched for feedback. The hot water capacity was good enough for my hour log showers.

Despite having to cancel my reservation and despite having paid an additional fee for insurance - this hotel will not refund my payment for the room.

Decent comfy clean room at a good price in a great location.
I’d suggest they add labels to shampoo and conditioner dispensers, as currently it’s impossible to tell them apart. Also, my hair drier had a European wall plug so it wasn’t usable… But both of those critiques are minor things that are easily fixable. Also, staff on phone could be more polite.
