We were at the hotel from Friday April 25 through Monday April 27. My husband accidentally booked a King Accesible room. On Saturday morning I requested a change and without trying too hard I was told that the hotel was sold out. I know it was a lie. On Sunday after arriving at the hotel in late afternoon, our room wasn’t made up. When we asked the answer was that we didn’t request it. The reality was that no one asked us. The wifi was not reliable. We had been at the hotel in the past. This is the first time we had such a bad experience. We were very disappointed.

Do not book at this hotel! The service is horrible. Housekeeping is upon request only so I requested service for every other day. I received NO HOUSEKEEPING for the 4 nights we were there even after calling them twice and receiving apologies and promises for housekeeping the next day. The last night there after seeing that housekeeping had again not come by our room, I asked for towels to use for showers and THEY RAN OUT OF CLEAN TOWELS. We were promised towels the next morning to shower in the morning and nothing! I have left several messages and sent emails to two of the managers and there has been no response since March. This is unacceptable. The location is sketchy as well with lots of homeless people and kids using drugs in the neighborhood.

There were many things inaccurate about this property but particularly the cleanliness of the bathroom itself. No where did the lobby look like the photos. There was construction going on as well as an area for snacks that was subpar. The elevator carpet was worn and dirty and just was not in good condition. The most unacceptable part of this stay was the condition of the shower floor. It was moldy and just not cleaned well. I had to go to Ralph’s to get Clorox shower cleaner to get the mold residue up which is what you can see in the before and after photos. Unlike the pictures on the website there was only one chair and not two where me and the other person could sit when we were inside of our room. As an airb nb host I was really disappointed that what I paid for was not what was reflected in the photos when I arrived. I tried to find something else in the area that was in the same price range but everything was booked. Robert and the hotel staff is the saving grace to this place

It took 44 minutes to get hot water in the shower. The front desk informed me that the hotel was built in 1960 and I really couldn't expect more given that I was on floor 8; it takes time for the hot water to rise to a room on that level. I asked to be moved to a room on a lower level in hopes of getting hot water in a more timely fashion. Even though I only saw one other guest in the four days I was there, they did not grant my request. I asked for towels to last throughout my stay and housekeeping service, but that never happened once during my stay despite me asking multiple people on multiple days. They do not even provide cups for the coffee machine in the lobby, and the "gym" is simply a hotel room they cleared out and put some basic equipment in. You could have a better experience at a Motel 6. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

By far the worst hotel experience me and my family have ever had. After paying nearly $1200 for a Sea World package with this hotel and driving 6 hours with our children, we were denied being able to check in because the hotel didn’t receive their portion of the payment from Sea World. We presented all of our proof of the reservation which showed the hotel and our payment/reservation number. Robert was absolutely heartless and refused to offer us any solutions besides paying the full price again with no guarantee of getting it back. The phone number of the reservation company for Sea World was closed at the time of arrival, and the only reason we figured out the situation was by physically going down to Sea World for answers ourselves. Sea World handled the situation beautifully. Although it may not have been the hotel’s fault, as a manager, Robert should have done the right thing and just simply been a decent human being and offered us a temporary solution for the night and checked us in instead of insisting there was nothing he could do. It was the most stressful situation upon arrival with my 2 young children, and he made it 10x worse with how he refused to handle the situation or offer my family any solutions or understanding. On top of the unfriendly welcome and lack of compassion in any way shape or form, the hotel was dirty and old with mold in the shower and stains on the beds. We will never stay here again, and my heart goes out to anyone who has a similar experience with them. Do not stay here.
