  My stay at Pacific Terrace Hotel in San Diego was the best hotel experience of my life! I booked a room with a balcony and a full ocean view for 7 nights. It was perfect since the hotel is directly on the boardwalk. And the boardwalk is right along Pacific Beach. I particularly appreciated being able to walk to some restaurants and shops in under 5 minutes. A 10-minute walk took me to the more heavily touristy shops and restaurants. I loved that Pacific Terrace was not in that busy area; that helped me feel more connected to the natural beauty of the ocean waves and the beach. I also loved watching the surfers. If I walked a few minutes up the beach, I could watch the San Diego Surf School students. All the hotel staff were wonderful; they even seemed to learn all their guests' names! Both the front desk staff and the concierge could answer any question I had about San Diego, nearby restaurants, sightseeing, and local attractions. They purchased the Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley Tour ticket for me at a discount and billed it to my room. Whenever I needed something (like dishes to heat up restaurant leftovers or a replacement for my broken Keurig), they sent someone to help me immediately. Surprisingly, when my Keurig wouldn't work one morning, the front desk staff ordered me a morning coffee or latte on the house! The hotel also has everything you need for a day on the beach: Beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and beach toys for children. They are available to borrow at no charge. On the day it rained, the staff placed a large umbrella stand filled with umbrellas for hotel guests to use. Whenever I travel to San Diego, I will stay here again. I was there over a holiday weekend, so the nightly rate was more expensive on the weekend, but it was worth every penny.

  We wanted to just have a relaxing day at the beach and it was our first time to stay at Pacific terrace hotel.We were greeted with this beautiful, charming girl at the front desk -Jasleen, and I made a mistake on the date of booking , instead of 2026 ,I booked it for 2027. She is very nice about it and helped us to have an ocean view room and let us check in early too! Our room is clean, spacious with this amazing view of the pool and the ocean! The king size bed is comfortable, the room has refrigerator, microwave with a nice sitting area at the veranda and we were able to enjoy the most amazing sunset . The whole hotel/ pool area is clean and well maintained. Everyone is nice and welcoming especially the front desk crew. We ended up keeping our reservations for next year of 2027 because we love this hotel. I will definitely recommend this hotel to our family and friends.Thank you Jasleen!

  The Pacific Terrace Hotel is an absolutely perfect place to stay in San Diego. From the moment we walked in every staff member was friendly and welcoming, throughout our entire stay we had some of the best service we’ve had at a hotel! The location couldn’t be any closer to the beach and it was nice that they provided beach chairs, towels and sand toys for our toddler each day. We also loved the patio off our room where we could watch the sunset. The family suites are perfect if you have young kids since they come with a fridge, microwave, dishes, silverware and a dining table - all of this was helpful when we needed to eat a quick quiet meal in our room! The rooms have everything you need, the pool is heated, the parking is on site and such a luxury that close to the beach, all in all a perfect place. We’ll be back soon!
