This intercontinental is much better than the one in Los Angeles. The breakfast is pretty good, the staff is helpful. I do wish intercontinental would stop employing overseas call centers for Guest service requests. At this price range, you do not want to be dealing with a call center that’s not even on the same continent. There’s no reason why when you are staying at a hotel, the phones should be answered for things like towels, etc., by anyone other than people locally at the property. When you tell them to transfer you to the front desk at the actual property, some of them give you grief. I am really glad that this property lets you rent microwaves, unlike other intercontinental hotels.

I’m going to be honest…. This place isn’t really cool. First off the valet guys are really prompt with the service. Shane was very respectful, Pedro was attentive and Ramsey ( I believe that’s his name ) was super funny. The hotel staff was very welcoming and the rooms are AMAZING. Last but not least the parking garage was super clean. Good job guys ! Definitely will visit again.

Other than the view this hotel sucks, I wouldn't come back here. This place left me so frustrated for instance they charge you $57 for parking which is not the end of the world, but their some of their staff don't even know how to activate it, making me waste my time trying to figure how to get out of the parking lot. The walls are so thin you could hear the music from other rooms. Don't get me started about the extra fees they try to charge without even mentioning it to you, for staff I already paid for! They don't even have netflix or Chromecast, which is very disappointing, I should have just stayed somewhere else. This is definitely a one and done for me, even if they offer me a free night, I rather spend my hard earn money somewhere else.

Overall, I would choose somewhere else in the area. While it’s an excellent location with friendly staff, there were some issues. We were on the 16th floor and several rooms had left trash outside their room for housekeeping- it remained there for 2 days. The pool is never in the sun due to location of buildings- chilly. We noticed the property next door (Residence Inn) had a pool in full sun as well as the deck/restaurant open. Ours was closed for the season which was disappointing as my spouse wanted to relax, watch the superbowl and have some drinks. The breakfast options are not much more than what you might find at a free breakfast bar at a 2 star hotel, except they charge $30-45 each for it. Would have expected more as we stayed as part of The Edit with Chase. We applied the credit for valet which was a nice perk.

👎 A flawed but acceptable experience, but an unacceptable value for >$500/night (>$600 night w/ all fees) for a stay in January 2026. Details below. Rooms - Comfortable and quiet bedroom with all the usual features. Bed is best for medium and soft sleepers, which I am, so that was good. 🛁Bathroom was not good — the tub was not clean (not filthy but there was some… stuff in there?), and the mirror light kept flickering. Service - Staff were friendly but the outcomes were not good.👨‍🔧Maintenance did not fix the mirror light, even after promising to fix it and being called twice. Fruit basket was nice but housekeeping did not take care of uneaten fruit that had begun to spoil. ☎️My Chase Edit credit also wasn’t applied so I had to sort it out with customer service later on. 💵 I did not appreciate the $50/day amenity fee given that it’s a non-resort hotel with fairly standard amenities (other than a very nice gym), or the $57/day self parking. The hotel restaurant is not good and comes with a 18% service charge. Breakfast is >$30 for cold food only, and hot food is extra. Despite the price, options are very basic and roughly at the same level you’d find at any other hotel or airport lounge. Individually, none of these issues would be fatal but put them together and you end up feeling nickel and dimed for a pretty subpar stay. I was extra disappointed because I had very good experiences at the IHG Kimpton in Taipei and the IHG Intercontinental in Singapore just a few weeks earlier and was excited to see how we stacked up at home in the US. Yeah… 😕 If you’ve read this far, here’s my advice: 🚫 Comparing this to a similar competitor? Go with the competitor. Don’t forget to factor in the fees into the sticker price. 🚫 Thinking of spending extra to upgrade from the basic business hotel experience? This ain’t it, chief. Stay with your usual and save your money. Or, splurge elsewhere, unless a pretty hotel exterior plus a fruit basket are worth $$ to you. 🧾If you ignored my warnings above and decided to book… then please at least check your bill and make sure they calculated things right. This is more relevant if you booked through Chase Edit (or AMEX FHR if they are on there), where you’ll have a property credit that can be applied to parking or food.
