If you stay here during your San Diego vacation or convention, be prepared for early wake-ups — around 5:30am on Saturdays and 6:30am on Sundays — due to extremely loud garbage container handling that sounds like a construction/ war zone. As a former hotel executive, I find this level of operational disruption unacceptable. Management has been asked to address this and simply won’t. If you value sleep, do not stay here. If you value safety, security has a similar track record of incompetence.

If you have a dog with anxiety, gets nervous, and barks, be ready to be charged $300 PER noise complaints. Just walking around the floor, you'll be able to hear people's tvs going off. Walls are thin. This charge is basically to make sure you don't come back to stay in their hotel. There is no notice or fine print or anything that explicitly states that you'll be charged for a noise complaints and they won't be letting you know this at check out either. You risk a noise complaint charge when you stay here with a dog and they will charge you without notice of any kind.
