  I enjoyed my stay at this property the view was something else. I was able to see to coronado island. The beds were comfortable and clean room. They have starbucks here too which is very convenient. The staff treated me like a home away from home. Especially Kanishka, he gave me a ton of recommendations and answered my questions about the hotel.

  We arrived at the Hilton San Diego after calling the day before to confirm a room with two beds for our family of four. Unfortunately, we were given a one‑bedroom room instead, and trying to switch was a hassle. Thankfully, a friend traveling solo, who happened to have a room with two bed, swapped with us. That room was great, and the kids absolutely loved the pool. However, the prices throughout the hotel were shocking. Even buying a simple bottle of water had a tip added to it. We travel often, and this was easily one of the most expensive hotels we’ve stayed at when it comes to basic necessities.

  Ya, I could live here. The Hilton San Diego Bayfront is great. The prices are fair and if you are lucky you will get a room with a beautiful view of the Bay. It is right there. You can talk to it. The SD Convention Center is nearby if you are headed there or you can just stay there and not leave. It has a walkway to Petco Park if you need that. The rooms are not huge, but big enough to be comfortable. They are super clean, the beds are great as is the TV and everything that comes with you room. Our room was ready on time and it was so pretty. They have a great bar and good places to eat. They have a pool. Check in and out is so easy and you get Hilton points, it is free to sign up for that. The maid staff is great. You want extra towels they have you. They have everything and you will love it.

  Despite 1 star review I do love Hilton and the low review is for can't do attitude of front desk and on site messaging. Despite being on site, they both said I should call the 800 number and they would be happy to assit me. Umm, how about you being happy to assist me and not passing the buck for a diamond member spending 7K over the weekend having booked five rooms for a conference. Seriously? The front desk people could easily be replaced with an AI kiosk if that's all you can do is give me a room key . Mimi in the bar restaurant saving grace! Great, can do attitude and so nice! Lovely person.

Even the basic amenities—the things you’d actually expect to be included at this price point—are hidden behind additional, triple-digit paywalls. Every single interaction feels like a predatory attempt to nickel-and-dime you into submission. Don’t let the glossy marketing and professional photography fool you. There is no value to be found here; it is a zero-sum experience designed to leave you broke and furious. Save your sanity and skip the entire chain.
