Beautiful views but the service was horrible … I work in hospitality and can understand being overwhelmed but every single staff member was rude or ill informed …. I asked for towels and it was like pulling teeth ( the shower was leaking) Parking was horrible and when asked for assistance they explained they were not connected to the structure which i understand but why not let guests know that ? The construction around the hotel caused major delays getting back to airport . The room was stuffy and was ADA and non of us are disabled …. l Love hilton but will not recommend this location !

I think this has sealed the deal for me in not staying with Hilton ever again. Here are the reasons why: 1) Overcharged by over $200 for the 3 night stay. Was quoted one thing received a receipt for another thing. ALWAYS check out at the front desk if you have to stay at this hotel. They make the receipt unnecessarily complicated and hope you wont notice the extra chargr 2) It smelled like a sewer in the hotel. There is construction so there are openings in the walls throughout the property and it leaves a smell everywhere 3) The location is only good for going to Petco Park. The only close food is in the hotel and it is overpriced. 4) "Premium" views and no more premium than the regular side. It's the same thing 5) Mandatory fees for a bunch of hogwash that you will never use. 6) Very average customer service. Paying premium prices for budget service. 7) Didn't give me my Hilton Gold food credit automatically, had to call and get adjusted. 8) Inconvenient location because of construction. Had to take long detours to get here. They also never disclosed that there would be construction at the hotel. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

Very pricey for a very typical hotel experience. Breakfast and parking is offered but you have to pay for both. Parking is 50 plus there is a 50 resort fee that gets charged separately as well. Why this is not included in the booking price I have no idea. So keep in mind that whatever you are already paying for the booking, add another 100 on top. The biggest thing this hotel has going for it is the location. If you are going to an event at PetCo Park it has a bridge that leads you right outside the stadium. Convenient and will save you having to drive and find parking if you stayed at a further hotel. Whether or not this saves you any money will vary. If anything its just convenient. If you are okay with spending more for location then this is a good choice. If you are looking for something inexpensive I'd look elsewhere. No shower curtain and drain was clogged. Room was fine apart from that.

Oh my god the view from our room was worth a million dollars, we enjoyed our stay cation here at the Hilton Bayfront San Diego, I'm taking a star off because I was staying here with my parents, my mom is disabled and we struggled to get the heavy room door opened and door to the bathroom open, the faucets on the sink were really hard to turn on and off, my mom kept hitting the light switch in the bathroom off by accident trying to plug in her hair tools, the placement is terrible! There needs to be more places to plug in your devices or medical equipment in the room, I liked that we got a mini fridge in our room but we struggled finding a spot of our food, the TV only has a few channels and we didn't feel comfortable connecting to Netflix or had our password available to stream anything on the TV. The cannery was overpriced for milk and soda, even a bottle of distilled water, that was 8 dollars! The music in the cannery was so loud and it smelled awful down there, then again the hotel is going through with renovations, it's disappointing they don't offer room service or free breakfast, they did give us Hilton offers points and 2 water bottle tokens to use along with tokens for bike rides and kayaking which we left for the maids to use, Starbucks also has limited hours and you have to walk outside to access it. Mary-ann was very nice in the lobby but way too pushy as a salesperson and contacted my dad outside of her business hours to chat personally about non Hilton related things, very unprofessional. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and the cleanliness of our room and hotel with the amazing harbor views and Downtown,a huge thanks for bringing up extra towels to our room! I forgot that I was in the lobby one night the music and lights were so soothing and peaceful it felt like being in an aquarium minus the fish lol, but I started coughing and wheezing out of nowhere for awhile then my nose was bleeding, I can't remember if I ate something that triggered this or the lobby had something I was allergic to, the cleaning crew might want to be aware of this I'm very sensitive to chemicals and have environmental allergies, which include; pet danger, mold, pollen, trees and flowers.

I just got back from a three-night stay. I have stayed at this properties many many times through the years. All the good things about this property are still there. But this time, I have a very unpleasant experience with the food credits as diamond member and the discussion at the counter. I was told this time that food credits are posted by calendar day, not by "hotel-stay" day. So when I had breakfast as part of my second stay-day and then dinner as part of my third stay-day, the system only generated one set of credit since they were on the same calendar day. Or if you are on a two-night stay and you choose to have breakfast the morning after you have arrived, you are stuck with having breakfast again the next morning if you want the meal to be covered by food credits. So this policy does not help customers to use the food credits to try lunch or dinner, as Hilton management claims they want the customers to have the flexibility to do. After multiple tries with no success, I just forced myself to have breakfast again the morning of my checkout in order to receive my third day of food credit. Another disappointing experience is with the front desk agent and immediate manager (morning of 12/23) as I was trying to explain the above point (started with breakfast then would be stuck with breakfast on a two-night stay as an example) to them, and they refused to accept the point I was trying to make, and essentially told me to go away. At least the counter agent at the time when I checked out between 9 to 10 am kindly asked how my stay was then I explained the same point to him, and he listened and agreed with the point I made above and encouraged me to express my views to the Hilton management team. I believe this is a very bad policy and the hotel management needs to consider to change it.
