Had to wait for over an hr after check in for room to be ready. They said they would call me whennit was but didn't..I had to follow up with them an hour later and found only 1 of 2 rooms ready. This was well after 4pm.

Location in Old Town was nice. Carpet in halls is pretty dense and made getting luggage to the room a bit difficult. Didn't really access any services.

Location was great. Walking distance to Old Town in which you can find many mexican restaurants with good food. Also close to the San Diego Zoo, about a 12 to 15 min drive to the zoo.

Our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in San Diego near Old Town was absolutely fantastic. I cannot say enough about how perfect this hotel and location were for our trip. From the moment we checked in, we felt like royalty. The people working there were so friendly and accommodating, it was like Paris Hilton herself was overseeing everything personally. The hotel was spotless, our room was comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. We felt safe, secure, and completely at ease the entire time. The parking garage on the lower level was one of my favorite features. You drive right in, your car is secured all night, and the elevator takes you straight up to your room without hassle. No weird parking spots, no worries. Just convenient, easy, and safe. They also had a safe in the room, which was perfect since I often travel with multiple computers and like having peace of mind. The location could not have been better. We were literally within walking distance of Old Town and the Whaley House, which is just right across the street. We wandered through shops, enjoyed live mariachi music, and soaked in the incredible atmosphere. Everything was right there at our fingertips. It was amazing to be able to step out of the hotel and be surrounded by history, culture, and fun. From the Hilton, we were also able to get to the Del Coronado quickly, and the San Diego Zoo was just a short trip away. The hotel really is in the perfect spot for exploring all the best of San Diego. And as if the hotel and location weren’t enough, while staying here we also discovered Golden Chopsticks, which turned out to be some of the best Chinese food we have ever had. Between the amazing meals and the comfort of this hotel, this trip was truly unforgettable. I travel a lot and have stayed at many hotels, but I have never found one in this area that checked every box like this. Safe, convenient, comfortable, perfectly located, and with staff that truly cares. It was such an amazing experience that we are already planning to come back, and there is no question we will be staying here again. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. In fact, I give this place 20 out of 5 stars. That’s how great it was. Oh, I forgot the breakfast was amazing!
