Nicely situated in Little Italy, San Diego; you can walk to a great meal at one of the many restaurants on India Street. Super fast shot to the airport. In a flash your jet setting to your next destination.

The good: The front desk staff were nice.
The bad: I left my $50 light zip up jacket in the room and the hotel quoted me $215 us to return it to me in Canada. $60 valet parking only - we found road parking for the duration of our stay.
The neutral: the room and property were average and overpriced, but normal for the area.

Worst coffee ever. Seems they tried very hard to provide such a bad coffee during breakfast. Also don't bother getting (paying) harbor view. All you will see is a manufacturing building with some boat masts sticking out. Worthless.
Also they don't provide self parking. The valet is $60/day.
Location is good, and rooms are clean & modern.

Couldn’t get an upgrade tho I booked weeks in advance. Very bland/repeat breakfast daily. Mandatory $60 valet. After the first night I parked on the street a block north for free. The bar tenders in their restaurant were friendly. Hotel staff so/so. Didn’t seem like they wanted to be there. Pool views were nice but cold as it’s enclosed, but technically outdoors. Mostly clean and I at least got help quickly when I needed it.
For the price, I’d spend a few extra hundred to stay somewhere nicer or rent a property.

I waited four days after checking out to see if someone would contact me from the hotel and they didn’t.
I had two incidents from my stay last week that absolutely shouldn’t have happened to anyone.
First one - checked in right at 4:00 pm online. Issued a digital key and assigned a room. Arrived at hotel at 9:00 due to delayed flight. By-passed front desk and went to assigned room. Opened door with digital key and found someone else in the room. That should have never happened. Went to front desk and they assigned me another room. They actually walked me to the new room to make sure no one was in that one. Bottom line is that once a room is assigned and a key is issued (physical or digital) no other key should be issued. That is a major security concern and was a major embarrassing event for me and the person also assigned to that room. All could have been avoided.
Second event - at a conference and received a notice that I was supposed to have checked out (Thursday) which was incorrect. They wanted to know when I was getting my stuff out of the room. Had to stop work and send them the confirmation that clearly showed my check out was Friday morning.
When I got back to the hotel on Thursday I went to the front desk and showed them everything and they wrote down everything and said someone would contact me.
Four days later, no contact. There is some serious system and management problems at this hotel. Consider staying somewhere else… that won’t issue two people keys to the same room or try to have you leave early.
