This hotel could be great, but the housekeeping and maintenance issues are needing some improvements. We had a clogged drain(fixed within 2 hours), broken nightstand, barn door for bathroom that doesn't stay closed, moldy grout, dirty hallways and elevators. Positives are the breakfast and the staff. I really hope they can address the carpet and maintenance issues so this hotel can be great again.

This is probably the nicest Hampton I’ve stayed at . They have a few Suites that are pretty darn spacious and have great views of the water . The regular rooms are your standard clean hotel rooms with updated furniture . The fitness center is open 24 hours and located on the first floor between the laundry room & their conference room so you don’t disturb anyone . They have a really spacious lobby with a few different seating areas and TVS . The Coffee Bar is between the main lobby & the breakfast area & they keep it well stocked 24/7 . There’s a really cool garage door style glass door they can open when the weathers nice that leads out onto an outdoor fire place table & patio seating . The pool & hot tub are pretty standard but kept clean and well maintained . The Best part of this hotel is without a doubt THE STAFF . The food service staff who set up the breakfast area are super friendly - whether it’s the lovely gal during the week or the super friendly gentleman whose there on weekends ( I’m terrible with names ) but if you stay here you will know exactly who I’m talking about . The selection and food quality and pretty standard Hampton quality but the staff are some of the friendliest I’ve encountered . The cleaning staff are pretty friendly & the two times I asked for things brought to my room it was done within minutes of me calling the front desk & the gal who brought the towels made sure to ask if I needed anything else . The front desk staff didn’t disappoint either despite me having a few issues & needing to extend my stay a couple times while navigating delayed flights. I travel with a service dog for my epilepsy & had a seizure on this most recent stay & Kristen was extremely kind and helpful in an emergency . They called 9-11 , waited with me & made sure I was ok as I was coming to on the floor after a pretty violent seizure . She even went as far as pulling up the cameras so that the EMT”s could have a better idea of how I landed & if I hit my head . She came by my room later that night with a bottled water just to check in and let me know she was there & who the night staff member was who was coming in after she left in case I needed anything . I’m a Hilton Honors Diamond Member and have stayed at every type of Hilton property out there from the luxury brands to Homewood/ Embassy suites , to doubletrees & Hamptons & I can tell you that the service here rivals that at the luxury brands . If you are looking at a hotel for business or a family visit that’s located near the airport or Liberty station that are Hilton brand this is the one I’d recommend .

My father, a Diamond Member, booked the reservation for my husband, our small dog, and me. This was meant to be a short family vacation to celebrate my dad’s recovery from open heart surgery. When we arrived, the staff was kind, and when I asked to switch from a queen room to a king, the front desk agent quickly made the change. One thing that surprised me was the twenty five dollar nightly parking fee. My father had been told that it would be waived since we would be using his handicap placard when picking him and my mom up, and for the moments they would be joining us at the hotel. The problems began the moment we stepped into the elevator. It was unusually dirty and poorly maintained. Several buttons were missing on both elevators, so we had to press the exposed rubber sensor underneath. The carpets looked like they had not been cleaned since opening and were covered in food crumbs. These same crumbs would exist for the duration of our stay. I immediately picked up my dog out of fear she might eat something, it’s important to note the hotel advertises itself as pet friendly. We were on the fourth floor, and as soon as the elevator doors opened, we were hit with an overwhelming smell of musk and BO. The carpets looked even worse, completely flattened and dirty, with popcorn scattered everywhere, much of it crushed into the piling. Our room was not better. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a stagnant sewage smell. The space felt so unclean. There were deep stains on the carpet, cobwebs in the corners, and drip marks on the side of the bed and on the sham. When I walked around to the other side of the bed, I found a mussel shell left behind by the previous guest. Thankfully I found it before our dog did. The room had clearly been cleaned in a rush. Even the microwave was still flashing a leftover cook time of one minute and sixteen seconds. My husband went to shower and immediately complained about the sewage smell. When I went to grab a tissue, I noticed the top had been shoved back in carelessly, and I was so grossed out that I avoided the tissues for the rest of our stay. Everything felt dirty. We tried to shake it off and focus on our trip, quickly getting ready to meet my parents for lunch. When we returned later, the front parking lot was completely full. I was especially frustrated to find a Porsche double parked from a handicap space into a Diamond Member spot. I called the front desk and asked if they could contact the driver using the information on the parking pass. I was told that the lot has no security, they cannot enforce anything, and that I could park in the back. Annoyed and exhausted, I ended up squeezing my car just an inch from the Porsche to make a point. The stay continued to disappoint, both in cleanliness and hospitality. That evening I realized the front desk had never explained how to connect to the Wi-Fi or mentioned the complimentary breakfast. Fortunately I knew where to find this information because I had stayed at this hotel many times before. I worry that a brand new guest or an older guest would not know and would miss out on these amenities. I am incredibly disappointed. My husband and I have stayed here many times with our little pup and have always enjoyed our visits, but after this experience we will not be returning. The lack of cleanliness poses a danger not only to human guests but especially to pets who can easily get into crumbs and leftovers. I cannot imagine what would have happened if our dog had eaten that mussel shell. I should also mention that the hotel did not disclose the extremely loud construction happening next door in the same lot, nor did they warn us that fire alarm testing would be taking place during the two days we were there (aside from posted flyers). Our poor dog was a nervous wreck, and my husband and I were on edge from the constant construction noise, alarm testing, and airplanes flying overhead. Overall, our stay fell far below expectations, and we left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and honestly a little grossed out.

Like the room design, a bit different from other Hampton Inns. Large bathrom and shower with towel racks and hooks for clothes. Pillows and mattress were comfortable. Breakfast standard fare for a hampton. Needed non dairy milk since lactose intolerant but didn't it didn't have any. Location good for airport minutes away with its shuttle. Only complaint inadequate towels,

We stayed here the night before our flight out of San Diego and experienced a couple of hiccups. Upon check-in, we asked about reserving the free airport shuttle for the following morning. We provided our preferred time, and the gentleman at the front desk assured us that there were spots available on the shuttle at that time. We thanked him, got our room key, and headed up to bed. The next morning, we enjoyed a workout in the small fitness center and breakfast in the lobby. When we went to check out, we asked to confirm if we were to be on the shuttle currently departing or the following shuttle. Much to our surprise, there was no record of us being booked on any shuttle and we were informed that all of the shuttles were full. The person at the front desk continued searching the computer in confusion. We asked what our options were - the reason we booked this hotel was for the free shuttle, and if we were unable to take it due to an employee error, we wanted to be compensated for any Uber or taxi. The employee informed us that she was not sure if we could be reimbursed for a taxi; her manager was unavailable to ask. Luckily, the employee was able to arrange for us to hop on the shuttle as it was going to make a pickup from the airport. We appreciate the flexibility, but in the future, there should be a way to ensure we’re booked properly - or a clear system in place when something has gone awry so guests don’t miss their flights. Other notes: the rooms are spacious and clean. However, you can hear every step the guests above you take. Additionally, the king sized beds do not have king sized pillows.
