I'm less than 24 hours into my stay, but if stayed here over 100 (I think) nights over the years.
I return to places when I feel services fantastic. From the check-in to the bar to the breakfast I felt welcomed and appreciated.
The rooms aren't anything fancy they're a bit bigger than average and comfortable a little outdated but much better than the average stay for this type of hotel.
The amenities are fantastic. Indoor and outdoor pool! Outdoor hot tub and fire pits with easy access to the bar. Train literally at right outside the front doors. Parking better than most for a big city I'll be a little bit pricey.
To break things down by category:
Easy five star for service.
Strong four star for rooms mainly due to age, but at least no clear signs of lack of maintenance. Amenities can be improved a little bit but not a big deal. The only thing that is not present that most hotels like this have is the streaming media box that allows you to do things like Netflix.
Five stars for non-room amenities - for this class of hotel.
For the food and bar - five stars for this type of establishment. Food is average price which is high compared to restaurants but normal for hotels. The food is definitely better than average. I ordered dinner at the bar and had eggs made to order for breakfast.
Location is excellent not far from the freeway Central to most things you'd want to do especially if you're here on business and spread out throughout this county.
One example of service. Charles at breakfast. He took the time to find a connection and have good conversation. Made an extra effort and brought me maps and other materials to help me with my stay. I'm talking with him it's clear that he cares about doing a good job and that the hotel is valued. He's not the only great experience I had but as of now it's the standout. People like him are why I choose to stay at the same place over and over again.
Well done DoubleTree team.

I stayed there for two nights, and overall it was a good experience. The indoor pool is 24 hrs, which was nice. The room is spacious, and the bed is comfortable. However, I was surprised by some of the additional charges: $40 USD per night for parking, a $100 USD deposit per night, and $2 USD per bottle of water in the room (no complimentary bottles are provided). There is free parking available outside, but it is at your own risk. I parked there without any issues. I also took an exam at the hotel, and they validated parking for non-guests but not for guests staying at the hotel, which I found unfair. I hope this information is helpful.

We recently had an event here. The building is very old and poorly maintained
Parking structure is exceptionally old and tiny. The staff are very nice. The.hotel has no signage on the street that is visible while you are driving there. I had to guess and drive in and ask if this was the doubletree.

Good place to stay near city center and other attractions. Staff were friendly/helpful. The bathroom had a sliding door with frosted glass, and a nightlight that turns on automatically when you switch off the light. Since the door is glass that light made the room really bright at night. I just wore my sleep mask to deal with it, but its something to be aware of.

I recently stayed here for a short business trip and just wanted to say the staff are friendly and efficient with my checking in process. The two staff that really stood out when it comes to customer service and just going above and beyond their job is Julia and Sabrina. Julia help assist with my room accommodations without any hesitation and personally hand delivered me my key to my new room and assured me that everything is taken care of. Sabrina was attentive to my questions above what to do in the area and assisted my friend and I on how to ride on the trolley and things to do. I truly enjoyed my brief stay there thanks to these two ladies.
