1 Star – Completely Unacceptable Experience This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had in years. Parking fees were never disclosed at check-in and were charged by default without explanation. IHG membership benefits were not mentioned or honored, and staff later hid behind the excuse that the hotel is “independently affiliated.” The most serious issue: hot water lasted less than 3 minutes before turning completely cold. When I called the front desk, the staff was rude, dismissive, and offered zero solutions. I was told the hotel was sold out and that a room change was impossible—yet rooms were clearly still available online that same night. When confronted, the front desk claimed they “didn’t know how to operate the system,” which is both unprofessional and unacceptable. This property lacks transparency, basic maintenance, and competent customer service. Absolutely not worthy of the Candlewood or IHG name. Avoid.

Overall, we had a good experience here. Check-in was simple and friendly. While our two bedroom suite was large enough for our family, there was very little privacy, as one bedroom is completely open to the living area. Great views from the third floor, but the dirtiest windows I've ever seen. I don't believe they've ever been washed! We enjoyed the free coffee and ample ($15) parking. I would stay here again for the space and value, but there are some cosmetic issues that desperately need attention.

If you want a smelly room, smelly sheets, stinky towels and bed bugs then this is the place for you. I’ve stayed in many candlewood suites and have never experienced these issues in other states. The only difference and slightly good aspect of this candlewood is the spacious room. But I rather have a small room with clean linens and no bed bugs than a large apartment style room with bugs and stinky linens. The tv remote was not disinfected. Cause there was stains all over it and dirt in between the buttons. The walls are extremely thin. You can literally hear your upstairs neighbors walking across their floor. The building is extremely old and overall, has a bad smell to it. The lobby smells and the elevator smells. The elevator sounds like it’s about to break. Front desk is nice though.
