  Rooms are a bit on the smaller side, parking can flat out suck. The gym is horrible and dangerous- treadmill literally was stopping randomly. It is one of those places with the cheaper key cards that'll stop working randomly so might want to ask for two at check in. Really small fridge and no microwave so hope you like cold food. Bed was extremely wobbly. Overall for what I paid I wouldn't come back.

  Very disappointing experience at this Best Western Seven Seas. The room was extremely dirty: towels with yellow stains, bathtub with debris, sink full of hair, and the room overall looked poorly maintained. I tried calling the front desk multiple times, staying on the line for 5–10 minutes, and no one ever answered. I have also sent emails regarding this situation and, to this date, have not received any response, this happened on december 20th, 2025 and I STILL NO ANSWER FROM THE BW TEAM. We have stayed at many Best Westerns and at this location before, and we had never experienced anything like this. Completely unacceptable. Still waiting for an answer.

  Best Western Seven Seas San Diego is affordable, clean, and resort-like. It is the kind of place that quietly does exactly what you need without pretending to be something it is not. I chose this hotel for a couple of reasons: free parking, two hot tubs, and location. Checking in is fast and easy, and the ability to park right in front of your room makes everything feel effortless after a long day. There is also a gym, a pool, and two hot tubs, which are the real highlight for any hotel traveler who wants to unwind without leaving the property. When it comes to the rooms, they are exactly what you expect from Best Western, including HBO and a fridge to keep drinks cold. Mission Valley is central to everything San Diego, which means less time driving and more time actually enjoying the city. This is the kind of hotel you book once and then keep in your back pocket for future trips. Overall, the hotel is a solid choice and I would absolutely stay here again.

  Based on room. 2 star expectations. Checked into room 103 on 12/30/25. Nice view of the pool however, I'm not sure if I got the right bed type. I booked a 2 Queens room with 2 Queen beds. Looked more like full size beds. Upon entering room. First impression, "okay!". Room did not look like the photos. Bathroom is old and dingy. Caulking everywhere. And I now can confirm other reviews of a musty smell. For operations review and training purposes, maybe turn the air conditioning on to circulate the air before checking people in would help. As far as service I was missing 1 towel and 2 wash cloths. Was told that housekeeping goes home at 4pm. So what does that have to do with me??? Ahh I have to wait until the next day to get some washcloths. On top of this gnats! Another positive beside the view, onsite security on premise and visible. He actually scans each person that enters/ leave property.

  No microwave or coffee maker in the room. Does have a mini fridge but it may be turned off, so don't expect to use it right away. Room was moderately clean, but dated. Walls and frames could use a paint touch up Carpet could use replacing. Room had a musty smell upon entering. Shampoo, conditioner, soap and facial bar are provided. Was able to get toothbrush and toothpaste from front desk. They did not have razors or shaving cream on hand. Bottled water is offered in room for $3.50 a bottle. Restaurant on site with friendly staff. Prices seem to be a little above average ... But this is San Diego. Located conveniently off the highway on hotel circle. Just a few minutes drive from the beach or downtown areas. Outside appearance is quite nice. There are two separate hot tubs and a swimming pool as well as laundry and vending machines. Laundry looked to be about $2.50 per machine and vending machines averaged about $3 per item. Bed was comfortable.
