  Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. I only stayed for the night and maybe that is why staff was not interested in being helpful. My room smelled horrible!! I turn a low and opened balcony door to try to air it out. I went to the front desk and asked if housekeeping could go spray or if they could give me some deodorizer and I would do it . House keeping never came I slept with balcony door open all night just to be able to tolerate it.

  Enjoyed our stay. Very easy to get to, free parking, beautiful area, especially if you like water views, and marinas. The restaurant was excellent, overlooked the water, and also a great value. Staff was helpful. The rooms are nice, very comfy bed and nice big clean bathroom The only con, was our room was very musty smelling and warm, despite AC. Maybe better AC was needed to dry it out. I’d definitely stay here again.

  Very nice rooms. Service was outstanding, although I requested a jacuzzi room and was told during check in that it was one and ended up not being.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Best Hotel Experience Ever! From the moment I called to ask about early check-in, every single person I encountered went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. My husband and I travel often and stay at many hotels, but this was truly the best experience we’ve ever had. I especially want to thank Clinton, who took extra measures to ensure everything was perfect for us. He even came outside to personally help me with the bike rental app — who does that anymore? His kindness and professionalism set the tone for our entire stay. The front desk staff, especially Alex, was exceptional as well— so welcoming and attentive. And at the Blue Wave bar and grill Restaurant, Eugene and Z provided such friendly and thoughtful service that every meal felt special. Plus, the food was incredible! I can’t say enough about how valued I felt as a guest. It truly seemed as though I was their most important customer — though I’m sure everyone is treated with the same care and warmth. Because of this incredible experience, I won’t stay anywhere else when visiting San Diego. Thank you, Gracie

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unbelievable Luxury and Service! The Best Hotel in San Diego! I just finished a wonderful two-day stay at the Best Western Plus Island Palms Hotel & Marina, and I truly don't know what the one-, two-, or three-star reviewers are smoking—this place is perfect! This hotel is absolutely ideal for a stress-free family stay. I recently finished a very long, very tiring, and painful stretch of work as a painter, traveling all over La Jolla painting houses. It was so stressful that my manager gave me some time off for a much-needed four-month break, and I used a bit of that time for this trip. This hotel was the perfect escape! From the moment we arrived, the experience was fantastic. The staff was incredibly nice, and checking in and out was easy and fast. Even better, we were stunned to find we had been given a VIP upgraded suite! I never even asked for one, but it was such a pleasant surprise. The room itself was spacious, with luxurious furniture and plenty of room to spread out. It was so nice and relaxing after being on my feet all day at work for months. I spent my downtime enjoying the incredible amount of entertainment—I swear there were 999+ television shows to binge-watch! It was the most stress-free day I’ve had in ages. This is a great location for a quick trip. We're planning to head to the Best Western Seven Seas and SeaWorld next, which is just a short trip up the highway from here. Also, the continental breakfast is a must go too. You should order it. It’s so good it’s so worth it. We had such a fantastic time. (me and my friend from work) We will absolutely be coming back to the Island Palms in the next 8 to 12 months!
