  I stayed here this past weekend (Saturday night to Sunday) and was extremely disappointed with my experience. At first the room looked clean and presentable, but once my mother and I started settling in, we noticed several tiny bugs in the room—first in the bathroom sink, then on the coffee table, and later several more throughout the night. We reported it to the front desk immediately, but the response was dismissive. We were told they were “just ants,” even though they clearly were not. We were offered another room, but by that point it was already late (around 8–9 PM), and we had already unpacked all of our belongings. The receptionist then offered bug spray and said she would bring it to us, but no one ever followed up or came back that night. Needless to say, we did not sleep comfortably, especially worrying about what kind of bugs they might be. The next morning was another disappointment. The continental breakfast was very limited, and almost everything was cold. The boiled eggs were cold, and there were very few options available. This was surprising because I have stayed at other Best Western properties in Los Banos and San Jose, where breakfast had warm items like eggs, sausage, and more variety. When checking out, I explained everything again to the morning receptionist, who said management would contact me to resolve the issue. It has now been more than 48 hours, and I have still not received any call or follow-up. For the price I paid, I expected much better service, cleanliness, and customer care. I’ve had positive experiences at other Best Western locations, which makes this stay even more disappointing. I also want to mention that it seemed unfair that only one receptionist was handling everything during busy hours. Management needs to better support their staff and improve standards at this property. Unfortunately, I would not consider staying here again.

  The only redeeming quality about this hotel is the location. Other than that, this place is absolutely disgusting. We arrived exhausted at around 1am and had to switch rooms because the first room had hardly been cleaned. Food crumbs on the couch and table, poop smears in the toilet, pubes on the seat, hair in the shower, makeup on the sheets, etc. The room we were moved to wasn’t much better. Again, there were pubes all over the toilet and hair in the shower, and the sheets had stains all over them. At that point it was after 1:30 in the morning, and I’m 7 months pregnant, so we were just ready to call it a night. I ended up cleaning the toilet myself and wore multiple layers to bed so that my skin made zero contact with the sheets. So gross. The next morning I requested a refund for the night before, and the manager on duty only gave me a $40 credit. He explained that only the GM could refund more than that and that he wouldn’t be in for a few more days, and that if he did it himself he’d get in trouble, so I was understanding of that. However, I wish he would have offered to call or email the GM to explain the situation and see about getting us a better refund considering I spent the first night wiping down the bathroom and cleaning up other people’s hair. He also said he’d make sure our room got cleaned more thoroughly, which it unfortunately did not. The floors were sticky and turned our socks black, there was dirt all over the walls and ceiling, crumbs in the corners of the floor, and don’t even get me started on the continental breakfast. We overpaid for a glorified Motel 6 (and I’ve stayed in Motel 6’s cleaner than this hotel, which is saying something). Avoid the hassle and book elsewhere.

  This is one of the worst Best Western locations I’ve ever stayed at. They charge quite a bit for being adjacent to the bay but you are not close to anything except a 7-11. They also don’t clean the rooms despite making the beds. They couldn’t even restock the toiletries, towels, or coffee. The complementary breakfast is best left for the fruit flies and the coffee is nasty. I’ve also had severe shoulder pain since staying the week at this place. To top it off, their employees stole my $50 self defense pen. I checked and rechecked my luggage. They stole it off the TV table. This place is a dump. Avoid at all costs. I’ve seen better from Motel 6, which I also avoid at all costs…

  Don't let the pictures fool you. This place is terrible it smells bad, and the general condition of the hotel is gross. To make matters worse, every single room faces the parking lot. If you stay on the first floor, you get to 'enjoy' breathing in car exhaust fumes from the vehicles. The service at the front desk was absolutely abysmal. There were two women working check-in who acted as if simply acknowledging our existence was a huge favor to them. Do yourself a favor and stay away! do not come here.

  Eh, area is under construction and so is the hotel. Lots of jack hammering and noise but we were hardly there so it wasn't a big problem. Pool and hot tub look really depressing and our rooms dead bolt didn't lock. But honestly it wasn't that terrible of a place and the location is sooo close to Mission Bay. We actually walked there in no time. It was cheap and just expect cheap when you get there. It wasn't dirty at all just kind of a bit of a sad spot.
