  Overall, the rooms weren’t bad breakfast was under cooked But most of all they charge me for smoking and I don’t smoke anything $250 what a joke so risk it if you want just be prepared you might get a surprise $250 charge on your credit card even if you don’t smoke Or vape

  Good Best Western with good service and breakfast. Would stay again when in Salinas.

  I really would like to rate this higher, but the lock on my door is busted. The room is quite clean for a hotel though. There's fresh paint on the walls, no stains on the carpet, and a clean bathroom. Coffee in the lobby all day. If you're staying here and fine getting a meal off of a taco truck this isn't a bad place. I'm not sure if I would want my wife to stay in a place like this though.

  PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE REVIEWS! I rarely write a review, but my experience has such a lack of customer service and empathy. As far as the quality of the rooms, take a look at positive and negative reviews as they are very informative. I’ve stayed in Monterey Area, Marina and now Salinas. An hour before checking out, my family and I are in town for a funeral. My cousin asked to stop by to get changed real quick, and I told him it wasn’t an issue. I step out real quick to grab something from my car and without hesitation the lady at the front desk let me know I can’t have visitors and I stated to her the situation. She had no empathy and didn’t care. Was very rude on her delivery. I politely asked to speak to a manager, not sure but I believe he was the main manager whose name was Peter. I explained to him the situation and he did not care either. I HAVE NEVER had a similar negative experience with customer service in any of the other locations I mentioned. I’ve had family stop to say hi, then leave, and other hotels were very accepting as they seen that I didn’t abuse the rule of just having permanent visitors. Perfect place if you want no contact with the workers, but if you’re looking for customer service and a friendly face, I would strongly recommend against. I understand the company policy, but understanding, delivery and empathy are apart of customer service. The delivery was terrible, extreme lack of care. I respect businesses where I feel like a valued customer and not just a money sign for booking with them.
