The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is because we had no, and I mean NO hot water. Otherwise it was great. We did try to eat at the bar but there was no one there despite it being open. We just found somewhere else to eat.

My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights, we were never informed that they charge for the parking separately and per Day! Also we were informed they had smart TV’s once we got to the room the TV was not working we then got informed by the front staff that they had some sort of issue and that the TV will not be working
“Sorry for the inconvenience” soon as we enter the room one of the screws from the door handles came off, very inconvenient when they add information once you arrive when it could be something that they need to add on their page beforehand such as cost for the parking and if something is not working to mention it soon as you’re checking in instead of waiting until you arrive to the room.

We didn't stay here, we were only in town one night. We walked up to the front desk to be told they don't do walk-ins, and not overly politely either. That was confusing to me as they were right there at the desk......
Also, parking would also be $45 on top of room rates in a regular out door parking area, no gates or security. So we passed on our stay here.

If only zero stars were an option. This hotel is too big to fail, and in a too great of a location to care. We stayed two nights for the CIM. Upon checking in, it was obvious that everything was very dated. We didn’t mind it too much as we are only staying two nights and were going to be too busy to let it bother us. The first night was okay, but the second night was a disaster. With the important race the following day and needing to wake up at 3:30-4am, we were aiming for an early bedtime. At 8:00, “the party” started. It was unclear where the loud noise was coming from, but it was unbearably loud. It was so loud that our room on the 15th floor was shaking, and we heard it as clear as if it was happening next door. We first called front desk around 8:30pm and they told us that it should be ending around 10pm, and that the music was coming from the outside restaurants so they didn’t have any control over it.
We proceeded to suck it up and tried to fall asleep. We were woken up every hour when it finally got unbearable at MIDNIGHT with the obvious karaoke going on. Upon calling the front desk again, we were then informed that it could be happening in one of their meeting rooms and that she is sending someone to turn it down. Then I asked her if she is telling me that this noise was within their control the whole time and they didn’t do anything about it? To which she replied, “oh actually, one of the guests just informed me that it is actually an individual outside of the property lines playing music.” The front desk clerk then told me that she would be informing the Sac PD to go “talk to this individual”.
The music stopped after about 10 minutes of getting off the phone, which made me believe that they had control over this mess the whole time. OR, maybe it was an “individual outside” and Sac PD took care of the issue. But, let’s use logic and common sense here to understand that in a hotel this big and fully booked for the weekend, it makes absolutely no sense that not a single soul besides myself complained in the 4 hours that we had to endure the torture. All it took was one phone call at midnight that magically fixed it in 10 minutes? There were enough events happening in their conference rooms based on the flower deliveries and party goers we’ve ran into earlier in the day, the chances of this mysterious “individual just outside of our property lines playing music towards our property” was actually an event within the hotel that they had full control over.
We found out the next morning that it actually was not an “Individual outside playing music loudly”, but a nurses’ party in the 16th floor. It costs nothing to be honest with the customers. They could have offered to move us to a quieter room. But instead, we were lied to, TWICE. None of us slept at all that night. I informed the associate on the phone that I will be asking for the refund for second night’s stay and she told me she will be letting management know.
My next issue is with your front desk associates, which need to be retrained. I was appalled that someone like De’Andre would be allowed to sit at the desk and help customers. I brought my issue to his attention and he accused me of lying. Questioning what we expected the hotel to do when it was clearly a “Sac PD issue?” I am sure that the hotel associates knew that there was a party on the 16th floor. He had the biggest attitude, had no desire to help solve the issue but only wanted me to take my problem and go away. He could not get rid of me fast enough when I brought the issue to him. He is not the general manager, but acted as if he was. The best De’Andre did was refund half the cost of one night, and both day’s parking. Honestly, this is absolutely not enough and downright insulting given how we were treated during our stay.

We stayed at this hotel for the location and it had a 6am breakfast and 7am on weekends. Which unlike other Holiday Inns is not included even though it's the same buffet. The restaurant did not open at 6 am as stated on the website, we were informed by the front desk clerk the Hilton website was wrong however their direct site had correct times. However even when we went at 7am the door plaque said 7:30am. The waitress in the restaurant Shelly is the only Star to this hotel the diamond in the rough. When we checked out I showed the front desk clerk who had stated the hotels website had the correct times was indeed wrong and had 6am as the breakfast time. He then looked me in the eye and said somehow the website had reverted back. As with the hotel room our desk lamp was broken, room had no paper or pen (front desk gave me sheet of computer paper), shower drain wouldn't drain, bathroom has no vent or defogging mirror (have to wait until bathroom de-fogs). Maid was still cleaning room after 4pm. When we arrived there were wine glasses in the hallway including one in front of our door. The next morning they were still there and when my daughter came to my room I had to explain they were not mine since I'm a recovering alcoholic. They were not picked up for over 24 hours. The emergency evacuation exit closest to our room, the stairway and elevator has an out of order sign on it. (I have a picture). You are also required to pay $35 for parking in a garage or $45 on-site (which is an empty lot that the employees park in). The parking lot was also blocked on one side by a bus and trailer. On the website it states parking on-site with no astrick, you have to scroll down to parking to find out you have to pay. The other two Hiltons in Sacramento include parking and breakfast however this one which is more expensive charges for both. As a rewards member we will not stay here until they make major improvements!!
