  Front desk staff do not wear masks, they have unprofessional conversations at the front desk. The housekeepers are very nice though. I was able to check in slightly early. Upon getting into the room there was a light smell of smoke, like you could tell somebody had smoked in there in the past. The bathroom had a slight smell of urine. There were unpainted drywall repairs near the shower rod. Low quality pillows on the beds. Worn out couch cushions. No hairdryer in the room. The jets for the hot tub in the pool area did not work. The overall feeling I get is that the hotel is not getting maintained properly, almost like the owners are milking the facility for income and doing the bare minimum to keep the looks acceptable. And finally if you care about covid probably stay away from Redding, the majority of people do not wear masks or practice safe distancing.

  So me and my business partner stayed here for 2 nights. First complaint, when we were checking out we found an Orange Syringe lying under the bed. Second, when we checked in we requested late check-out, which was apparently not communicated to Sierra (Manager) who called us at 11am and was very stern on us having to leave within 30 minutes. We stay at hotels across the country and have never had a manager not be accommodating to a late check-out to at minimum 12:00. These incidents lead me to do a little research on SureStays relation to BestWestern, and to understand that they do not hold them selves to the same standard. We will never stay at a SureStay again, but will continue our business with BestWesterns across the country.

  This place was horrible. First, the guy at the desk thought he was better than everyone else and then I was told my confirmation was not good and wouldn't let me check in even though I had already paid for the room. He said they were all booked and no more rooms were available. I left and had to get them to refund my money to my card. I will never go to this motel again.
