I do not write reviews but had to shout out Jeremy for his excellent service at this hotel. We ran into car trouble on our way through Quebec City, so made an impromptu stop here while we got the car fixed. He made sure we found a mechanic who would take us right away, a feat we were not successful with kn our own, helped save me money and had great recommendations to help keep the kiddos occupied while we waited. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms, facilities, pool, and overall service were excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The only disappointing part was the restaurant. After our meal, the waiter argued with us about the amount of tip we gave and complained about being paid low wages. A tip is a voluntary gesture of appreciation for good service—it should never be argued over. Wage concerns should be addressed with management, not guests.
This was an unpleasant experience and the only thing that took away from an otherwise excellent stay.

I wish I could give this hotel zero stars because that’s exactly what it deserves. Zero for room service, zero for the front desk, and zero for cleanliness. The rooms reeked of a disgusting carpet odor, and every single room they showed us smelled the same. Multiple guests were complaining about it, so clearly this is a long‑standing issue they don’t care to fix.
The next day, the thermostat was locked, and we couldn’t adjust the room temperature at all. We went to the reception multiple times, and they were absolutely useless — no help, no urgency, nothing.
We asked housekeeping to clean the beds and vacuum the floor. When we returned at night, the beds were “made,” but under the duvet there were crumbs, dirt, and debris all over the mattress. The floor wasn’t vacuumed either. At this point, it genuinely felt like harassment.
Overall, the service here is pathetic. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Don’t waste your money — there are plenty of better options elsewhere.

There were a few positives: the front desk staff were friendly and genuinely helpful, and they allowed me to check out one day early without giving me a hard time. The bathroom was also decent—although the facilities felt older, it seemed renovated, and the shower pressure was surprisingly good by North American standards. Having a bathtub was a plus as well.
That said, the room itself was the biggest issue. It was far too small. I booked for 3 adults and 1 medium dog, and honestly, I do not believe this room should accommodate more than 2 adults comfortably. With 3 people and a dog, it felt extremely cramped and almost claustrophobic.
For a pet-friendly hotel, the setup was disappointing. The pet fee was around CA$50 per night, but there was barely any space for my dog to rest comfortably. My dog ended up squeezed into the narrow space between the beds, which made the room feel even less suitable for travelers with pets.
The AC was also problematic. It made loud noises as if it was working, but the room never actually cooled down and became hot and uncomfortable at night.
The location was another disappointment. Despite the hotel advertising a 15-minute walk to Old Quebec, Google Maps showed closer to 30 minutes (Attractions), mostly uphill. This is especially difficult for older travelers.
The “free breakfast” was also misleading. Many items required extra charges, and while the presentation looked fancy, the food quality was average at best.
Overall, if you are traveling with seniors, with pets, are sensitive to room temperature, or plan to spend most of your time in Old Quebec, I would recommend staying elsewhere.
