An excellent location for travelers at a moderate rate. For a Holiday Inn, rates are expensive if compared to US properties. The airport bus has a stop very near, about 5 blocks away. Some advantages at this location: the orange metro is about 2 blocks away and it connects to some underground city sections, while outdated everything in the room is functional with a mini-fridge and coffee station, my room had a partial view of Notre Dame on the 7th floor, the pool was very old-school yet fun, the sauna & hot tub were operating until late night, and the breakfast option was convenient and it had hot items. Children were having a fantastic time watching the fish and following them in the pond situated in the lobby too. A nice supermarket is located at a 5-minute walk. Now, what not to expect: a security guard at the entrance of the building. The city has unhoused and unwell people, they go near hotels to panhandle. I saw one accessing the building at night but didn't stay long. Elevators don't have security keys, I didn't like it but, the previous week, I was at a fancy hotel in Quebec that didn't have restrictions on who goes or comes in the hotel. As said, the hotel is old with some refurbished areas- it feels very '90s. Slightly nicer properties in that are can go 50% more at a minimum, I enjoyed my week here.

Always love to stay with the Holiday Inn.
We were originally staying at another hotel because it was cheaper and seemed like a good option. After one night at that hotel, we were very unhappy with our stay and decided to move to the Holiday Inn, which we had previously stayed at.
The rooms are always clean as housekeeping always does a great job. The bathroom has a lot of counter and floor space and is very clean.
We like that reception is on the second floor and the elevator always stops on the second floor before going up. It definitely feels a bit safer if someone were to enter the building.
The staff is always friendly and helpful and the lounge is quite nice when you’re waiting to leave for your scheduled bus/train/flight.
Not a fan of the carpet. It can smell a bit musty in the winter but it was fine in the summer this time. We wish the TV had Smart TV capabilities or had HDMI cables to connect with a laptop.
We will be visiting Montreal in December and hope to stay with the Holiday Inn a 3rd time!

I want to express my sincere gratitude to one of your employees Sasha, who went above and beyond when we were visiting Ottawa Canada. Our daughter asked if we could find a specific French book. Sasha called out to a local bookstore to confirm that they had the book in stock and gave us directions to that bookstore. Sasha was a tremendous help with our endeavor.
I also want to thank all of the staff members we met during our stay for their hospitality. Everyone we met from the reception attendant who helped us park our motorcycles to the people at the reception desk and restaurant were fantastic. Thank you all for the wonderful visit to Montreal.

This hotel is located a nice distance between downtown and old town. It is only a 10 minute walk to old town and old port. The parking garage fits full sized trucks, which is hard to find in Montreal. The rooms were clean and comfortable but small and lacking many places to put luggage. It’s a good option for the city if you want to be close to things and are not looking for anything overly luxurious
