  Disappointing 6-night stay, not worth the price!! We stayed at Holiday Inn Montreal for 6 nights, and unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. We requested an early check-in and were told 2:30 PM could be possible, but we received our room card only after 4 PM. We were repeatedly told rooms were being cleaned from 11 AM–4 PM, yet the balcony was not cleaned at all, and there were no chairs to sit outside in the balcony. Other disappointments: 1. No drinking water bottles in the room and nothing in the fridge. 2. The hair dryer was extremely weak and took almost 35-40 minutes to dry hair. 3. No hot milk for tea/coffee or microwave option at breakfast area, so we had cold tea/coffee throughout our 6-day stay. 4. Breakfast had very little variety and was almost the same every day. 5. One day we arrived at 10:20 AM, exhausted after returning from Quebec. Despite several families still eating, the staff did not refill the food and chef and Duc started removing everything at 10:30 without asking if anyone needed anything. This felt very inconsiderate and disrespectful. The only positive experience was Ana, who was kind, helpful and genuinely provided good hospitality. They did keep our luggage at reception for a while after checkout, which we appreciated. That is the bare minimum they did. Overall, for the price charged, we expected much better service, cleanliness and basic amenities. Unfortunately, the experience was simply pathetic and not worth the price we paid. There are many things that could easily be improved, and I hope the management takes this feedback seriously.

  Great location! We stayed here while visiting Montreal during the Osheaga Festival, and it was a breeze to get to and from the festival - less than 20 minutes by Metro! It's also a great homebase for exploring the city, especially the Old Town, Chinatown, and Old Port. We also stayed at the Centreville Ouest location earlier on the trip, and the rooms are much nicer, bigger, and more comfortable at that (newer) location than this one! We found this location's rooms to be a bit dated, but overall it was a pretty comfortable stay. One complaint is the elevators, and the layout having the Reception Desk on the 2nd floor, and forcing every elevator trip to stop at that floor regardless if anyone called it to that floor. That got annoying after a short time! The koi pond and the atmosphere of the Reception Area is lovely, though!

  The stay was horrible! When we first arrived, we were offered a room on the third floor right across from the pool. When we exited the elevator, there is a bad chlorine smell in the hallway. We immediately went back to reception to change our room. They were able to give us another room right away. It would have been better for them to give us that room to start with… Once we go into the room, there is a strong fragrance in the room. Later on, we find that the fragrance might be used to cover up the unpleasant smell that is lingering in the room, especially around the window area. The carpet is extremely dirty, the bed was not made to hotel standard, air conditioning is very noisy, there are stains in the tub, the bathroom door cannot be closed otherwise we might lock ourselves out, there are stains on the furnitures …. The place is just filthy! The only thing that is a redeeming feature is that it is in close proximity to a lot of attractions downtown. We were not expecting this type of service from a Holiday Inn chain. Stay elsewhere if you can!

  I stayed here for four nights in two different rooms. The ac in the rooms were really loud and the first two nights when we were sleeping I couldn’t sleep well because it felt like there was an engine or something under the room, so I asked for a new room. The bathroom in the first room also couldn’t close and when we checked in the toilet paper on the dispenser was wet. The toilet paper holder in the second room bathroom was broken when we entered. Also, the water temperature of the shower in both rooms fluctuated like crazy, and the way the mirrors were laid out you could see into the bathroom where the shower is when sitting on the bed by the window.

  I was going to a restaurant, so I parked my car inside the hotel, since the restaurant was located there. The website said the restaurant was open to the public, even for non-hotel guests. However, my family and I waited for half an hour without anyone attending to us. Finally, they told us it wasn't open yet, even though the website said it opened at 7 am, and I arrived at 10:40 am! Even more outrageous, I was charged for parking! I received nothing! Their excuse was, "You parked! Just like if you park on the street, you have to pay." Nobody parks for no reason and stays in their car. Parking is for eating, taking a walk, or meeting up with friends; there's a purpose. If I didn't plan to eat there, I wouldn't have parked. I didn't get anything, so why should I pay? And no one listened to my explanation; they just made excuses to kick me out. The service was absolutely terrible, and I will never use any of their services again. Very disappointed!
