We stayed here for one night while travelling through Montreal. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable, which we appreciated after a long day of driving.
Unfortunately, several things took away from the experience.
First, we were surprised by a $23/day parking fee that wasn’t obvious when we booked through Hotels.com. Unexpected fees at check-in are never a great way to start a stay.
It was great to have a water slide that a 5 year old could go on and get caught by a parent at the bottom. But, the pool area was also disappointing. There were multiple clumps of hair on the pool deck, dirt and debris on the floor, and a used bandage left on the windowsill. This was there the evening when we went to the pool and again in the morning. There were also no pool towels available when we visited.
The complimentary breakfast was extremely crowded. It felt chaotic, with many items empty and not being replenished quickly enough. It was difficult to even see what was available because there were so many people packed into the breakfast area.
We were also surprised that there wasn’t any complimentary bottled water in the room for about $200 a night.
While the room itself was a positive, the unexpected parking fee, poor cleanliness around the pool, lack of towels, and disappointing breakfast experience meant this hotel didn’t meet the standard we’ve come to expect from Holiday Inn Express.

Bonjour

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately experienced an issue where my car was damaged during my arrival by the hotel garage barrier . While this was certainly an inconvenience, I cannot speak highly enough of how the hotel handled the situation.
The manager, particularly Mariana was incredibly professional, empathetic, and communicative throughout the entire process. They took full responsibility, covered the cost of my repair invoice without any hassle, and kept me updated every step of the way.
It's not every day you come across a hotel that genuinely stands behind their guests and goes above and beyond to make things right.
I would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place that truly values its guests.

Overall, my stay was pleasant, and the hotel itself met my expectations. However, my experience was overshadowed by a very disappointing issue at check-out.
Upon arrival, the receptionist directed me to the hotel's parking area, but at no point was I informed that parking would cost $70. There were no alternatives offered, and since this was the only parking area the hotel directed guests to, I reasonably assumed it was included or that any applicable fee would be clearly disclosed in advance.
To make matters worse, the hotel deducted the $70 from my security deposit without discussing the charge with me or giving me an opportunity to question it. I felt blindsided and, frankly, scammed. Transparency about additional fees is a basic expectation, and charging guests for undisclosed costs after the fact is unacceptable.
I enjoyed my stay otherwise, but this experience left a very negative impression. I hope the hotel improves its communication regarding parking fees so future guests are not caught by surprise.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for 3 nights based on the positive reviews and because the hotel is new. Our experience was far from positive. When we arrived, we were impressed with the size and cleanliness of the room. That’s the end of the positive comments.
The free breakfast the first morning was insane. It was super busy and they ran out of cinnamon buns, yogurt, coffee, orange juice and pancake mix. Things didn’t get any better after that.
After a long day out, we went back to the room and it had not been made up. Went down to the front desk to get fresh bath towels and there was another guest who was doing the same as his room had not been made up. The front desk clerk said it was because the hotel was really busy and the room attendants couldn’t get to every room.
The next day, we were out the entire day. Went back to our room and again the room attendants didn’t clean our room.
This is obviously a systemic issue and totally unacceptable. We won’t be going back to Holiday Inn Express Montreal Airport. The hotel may look nice but the service is horrendous.
