  What an awesome and special place. We stayed here in the winter (late December) and the experience couldn’t have been any better! Super comfy, cozy hotel with great amenities and pool. The view and the path down to the beach is an incredible bonus

  This place is an absolute scam -- the listing on Expedia is not aligned with their website. The only reason we had picked this place was because we were able to get an Ocean view room through Expedia, but apparently that maps to poolside with a partial ocean view in the hotel's system. Who would've thunk?! And for a motel-like stay (it's impossible to tell from the pictures online which are very deceptive), we ended up paying the price of high-end hotels like Hyatt. The room is ridiculously small, the facility in itself is not well maintained, and the free breakfast was again cheap and similar to what is served at motels. The staff at the front desk is very condescending and manipulative -- when we flagged that we had paid extra for the ocean view, we were told that we were "jumping the gun" without seeing the "gorgeous room" they had to offer us. They had us check in and then said they cannot make any price adjustments since we were already checked in. We had booked 2 nights, and ended up cancelling the second night and leaving Pismo earlier than planned (it was holiday week, so we couldn't find good alternatives to book last minute). Thankfully the hotel was at least willing to let us cancel the second night and give a refund (they did offer an Ocean front room at this point for the second night, but by then we'd had such a terrible experience that we just wanted to leave). I'm not sure how this place has managed any good reviews. I'd definitely recommend staying away!

  love the food, the prime rib was thanks the best I ever had.... and the beautiful little brunette waitress was gorgeous

  Fantastic service by Kevin at the front desk making my husband’s birthday flawless. Enjoyed a bottle of local wine by the fire while watching sunset as the kids played in the pool. What a relaxing weekend! The views are incredible and the room was so clean and updated.
